I live downtown in a popular city next to tons of bars and you just made me look for places close to ice cream shops haha

Sorry but this is such a stupid comparison. I'm sure most people out there could have married the first woman they sort of liked or who sort of liked them if all they cared about was finding someone to marry. The fact is we have so many options and don't want to settle anymore, but then still get depressed when we don't have anyone lmao.

Nah you just need to pay attention to what she's saying. She isn't giving you advice on the actual hook, but rather what to do when you're together with her and how to be intimate. Everything she says here is completely accurate, from eye contact to touch.

As someone that just moved to Austin thank you for this. Actually going to a hike meet up soon. I'll look at the paddleboard groups too.

At a bar right now. I'm in a hip city downtown and most bars still have the main seating at the actual front bar closed off. This makes it harder to be social with others, so just be wary. Depends on the bar though.

Yeah don't listen to this guy unless you are 100% you can pull it off successfully. This is some creepy shit to do to someone you just met on the street. Give her space and make sure there's comfortable.

While maybe true on the surface, it's pretty naive to think that it's only for hook-ups. One of my longest relationships was from Tinder, and I matched with her because I wanted to find someone to date, and she did to. I ended up breaking if off with her but we're still friends. It's still a way to meet people to get serious with, and it's way less of a "hook up" method than meeting someone in a night club or at a bar. It's just a shallow and one-sided way that generally sucks, but there's still…

I'm thinking of doing the same. My results are almost exactly like yours; matched with tons, few dates, few lays, however I still keep in contact with one girl but I don't see it going anywhere. I'm honestly done with online dating. I've been doing the Tinder/Bumble/Hinge thing off and on for years now and it just feels shallow and depressing. My last *real* relationship was with a girl I met at the club, so it seems pointless anyways. What are your plans for meeting girls in person? Are you joi…

On what women say they want vs. what they really want. I'm seeing a girl right now that expected me to pay for every meal, send her flowers, etc. etc. We get back to her place after the second date for some heavy petting and she's in my arms talking about "dealbreakers" for her and she mentions "if a guy isn't down to pay for every meal" or something like that. I tell her straight up I'm not paying for every meal and that I expect her to pay sometimes as well, she has a fulltime job too. She loo…

Yeah I agree. I think the heyday for online dating has passed. There was a sweetspot between the time where everyone thought online dating was weird and taboo and nowadays where everyone has a tinder profile.

This is the really funny thing I see in this community. It has nothing to do with the actual pick-up lines, but how you present them. If you show that you're just fucking around and think it's hilarious and act confident in that; she'll probably love it. But you genuinely act so serious and try to be suave while delivering the line; she's going to laugh in your face.

I'm actually pissed because in the thread yesterday about the guy's drink being spiked one of the top comments says to not go out solo and only go out with groups. What kind of shit is that? Some of my best nights were going out solo. We really need to be more consistent on this subreddit and stop giving shit advice like that.

Pro tip: Now delete Bumble and use Hinge. Seriously I'm getting matches like crazy on this app.

Haha wow. Tons of guys are reading this before going out and now their game is going to suck because they'll be worried about their drink getting spiked. I thought people came here to get amped up?

Hey thanks for this man. I have a date Saturday night with this super stacked 22 year old (I might ask her boobs to marry me actually they're that fucking amazing) and so I want to get into this mindset for tonight when I go out solo. I've had success in the past going out by myself but after a recent breakup it's been hard getting into the groove. I just want to have fun though so I'm going to go for that and see what follows.

Ah you did that post? Thanks! I'm trying to work that into my daily mantra right now. It's ingenious and really helps with visualizing success. Plus my dad has always said that to me and to reaffirm it to me anytime life has gotten me down, just two simple words; "Fuck it."

You and me both man. Went through a break up at 29 just a few months ago to someone really cool, but it just wasn't meant to be. One thing I've been practicing lately is to not lay blame on why it ended, because it ended for a reason. Just have to move on to others and not get stuck in the bad thought process of thinking she was "the one" or the only one like her out there. You might meet an awesome chick tomorrow that will make you forget all about her!
/r/seduction03/10/18 02:22 AM

The first part is good. I routinely will just point out people I think are on a tinder date and whether it's going well or not. The point is to not judge. You're not judging these people or making rude comments about them, you're simply pointing out something that you're seeing and that's fine.

That's dumb advice. I've had dates that ended in sex by just sitting down at tables. The key is to move venues, but also you can scoot your chair closer to her as the night goes on so that your legs are pretty much touching and lean forward, which is pretty intimate. The idea that you have to sit next to her on a bench is absurd.

Not to mention his liberal use of words like "hunting", "predator", and other cringey terms to describe him or what game is to him. $20 says the girl was creeped out by the dude and wanted out.

I wouldn't say delete IG. It has it's uses. But yeah definitely realize that all social media is a way for people to feel better about themselves and make others feel like shit in comparison.

Nah actually, one had never been on Tinder before and had an exit strategy on hand with a friend and another hadn't either and even had her friends hiding away at the bar to make sure I wasn't a creeper. It is definitely possible that some women tell the truth about never using online dating and it's not "anti-slut defense". Though that is definitely a real thing. Especially true considering how relatively recently online dating has been accepted in society.

I've been on dates and slept with girls on Tinder before who admitted they joined because they were bored and had no desire to meet up with anyone.

The thing about this is that you know what you want to do for your future right now. You have no idea what you'll be like 5 or 10 years into the future and the goals you set for yourself right now might become something you end up not wanting.

Hey bro you and me both. Realize that going out by yourself is not in itself weird, creepy, etc. Young and dumb people think this, or people with zero experience doing things on their own. It's only weird or creepy if you think you're like that; self-fulfilling prophecy. Instead embed the mindset that you are super brave for doing this. Feel it in your bones. It can be hard to do and sometimes you'll feel down on yourself, but once you think like this you're fucking invincible. And it's also tru…

One thing I've noticed that helps to get some sexual tension or at least get the ball rolling towards more sexual tension is to just talk about sex. For example if you're on the topic of craziest things you do or have done, segue into a topic like "So what about in bed? I bet you like getting your hair pulled." etc. etc. obviously teasing while doing it. I've been on dates where this was essentially a replacement for actually kissing her or doing a lot of kino before getting back to my place, th…

Have you tried online dating? It's easier to get into for an introvert and if it's only sex you're looking for you might find someone. That said someone else mentioned getting a prostitute. Honestly not a bad idea if you're just looking to pop your cherry.

It does take a lot of balls to go to the club solo. For me it's hit or miss. I met my last girlfriend by going out to the club by myself, and that night I had a ton of fun and was vibing. Other nights since when I tried going out solo though I failed pretty bad. I mostly just didn't have the right mood and meandered around aimlessly and started to hate the music and people there. I've had success before going out solo at clubs but I don't really have any secret on how to be great at it.

I'm always amazed at people that bash an app that has the potential to get you laid while also giving you experience with providing plenty of dates. There's nothing wrong with meeting women off of online dating, just also keep up with meeting women in the real world along side it. It's not an either or situation.

Jesus christ there are way too many fucking generalizations here. "All women are this way" or "All girls just want to party and like men with money". This type of advice is fucked up and stupid to see on a subreddit that should be about attracting women by improving yourself and communicating honestly. This type of advice you're spouting sounds like the ramblings of someone that's been rejected so many times they simply have a terrible outlook on women and romance in general, and it's affected t…

That's natural. I almost always go out solo so after awhile it becomes easier. Alcohol also helps; just don't overdo it. Some girls will think it's weird that you're out solo only because it's not a super common thing to do. Own it and you'll change their minds quick. Other girls will think it's awesome and brave. I met my last girlfriend going out solo on my birthday. She thought it was cool I was out dancing by myself and meeting new people. Just don't sweat it too much. It's stupid that it's …

The problem that plays in my head when I'm out is that if I keep hitting on more women there I'm gaining a reputation as some creepy dude that's just hitting on every girl. Like I'm being branded and then people will remember me in the future as the guy that hits on girls everywhere. I know it sucks to have this mentality but it's hard to shake.

There's a difference between "making your needs a priority" and "being needy". The former means you're focusing on yourself and getting your needs met. It has nothing to do with acting desperate. The latter means being desperate when trying to get what you want. I'm sure someone else can explain it better; but to me it seems pretty obvious...

Wait what? Have you ever even been to a club before? People are constantly going on to the floor and dancing with people they've never seen before. The key is to just dance with everyone and have a blast! It's posts like yours that make people second guess themselves when going out solo.

Hey man similar situation in a lot of ways. This might get downvoted for suggesting; but since you've mentioned going out alone tonight, on Saturday, I suggest getting some drinks in you. Not black out drunk, but enough to where you have no qualms chatting up the cutey next to you at the bar (or actually anyone next to you in the bar, just chat up whoever!). That said don't depend solely on alcohol. Pick the right venue (I'm going to my favorite hipster dance club tonight. Good music, cute chick…

Because they don't... With anything else it's a numbers game. And I'll admit that lately I haven't even used the app or been interested in it, but not long ago I found success by just following some simple rules: a) Have a decent profile, don't focus so much on the bio too much but put your strengths in without trying too hard, and have some decent pictures (not selfies). b) Have your opener be unique and funny. I would say 90% of the hook-ups I had from tinder started from a unique opener, some…

Hey man, sorry you had a shitty date, I'm glad it's turning around though! I had a date this Saturday with a very attractive girl and wanted to meet up halfway in the city in a neighborhood I'm thinking of moving to but didn't know any of the bars. I did a quick google search and came up with two of the most top rated. The date went really well. A) they weren't crowded sports bars or full of guys looking to get laid, B) the first was a hipster bar and the second was more of a dive bar where cool…

Same, ruined a chance or two recently from either a) having a boring text convo or b) saying something really stupid I didn't think about (twice with the same girl actually). I just came to realize I'm not good at texting, and that really any text could be the last one you have with a girl unless it's someone you know in person (tinder and online girls are easy to fuck up because your whole relationship before the first date is based on text). So now I just send short texts, sometimes funny/flir…

Great post. I've come to this board not to learn how to pick up random chicks to have sex with, but to actually to gain more confidence in myself and better myself, so that I can approach the cute girl who looks like we'd get along, or whom I'm curious about at a personal level.

I want to build on this: how do you know when to text or not? I played it coy with this girl recently, stopped texting her for a day, then picked it back up, but she seemed more distant now, so I didn't want to fuck things up. Ended up texting too much, and fucked it all up. I can't seem to get the rhythm down, I'm not this much of a goober in person just with texting!!

IMO, although I might get some flack for it; it's rather creepy. Like you said you don't really know this broad too well, and girls these days tend to prefer texting with people they don't know. Send her some brief texts asking her out for a casualish date so you can get to know her better. Although it also depends on the girl. Calling might be a charming thing or it might end up being creepy, it's just a risk you have to weigh.

Thanks man. I'm going out tonight with no outcome dependence, I just want to have fun and meet some new people. I don't know how well I'll do. I like the idea of daygaming because it seems easier in my mind, a girl is by herself somewhere just walk up and say "hi". But I have a feeling everyone at the bar is already going to be in groups of their own friends, so I don't expect too much.

Start with tinder. It's a goldmine for colleges, seriously. But don't make it a crutch. Also go out and introduce yourself, meet new people, regardless of gender, just to make friends and increase your social circle. This is all advice I need to take too.

I'm in the same boat. 25 years old, unemployed, finishing up my second degree at a college. It's insanely easy dude. You don't need to spend lavish amounts of money to get laid, just initiate conversation, get a date, get her back to your place. I've been using Tinder lately and have been having a huge amount of success with attractive women. But don't rely solely on this. Seriously its very easy, just get out there and try, it sounds more like you're having insecurity issues (trust me I underst…

I find it annoying too just texting. I hate texting. But also I understand where she's coming from, unless she has something important happening that day and he sends something like "hope it's going well", there's no point in asking how her day is. I never did this even in my long term relationships.
