It sounds wild, and it is. He's an aggressive enabler, but he doesn't like it being called out. I keep my distance. It's better that way.

I've gotten a lot of shit for that policy by my stepdad, but being a doormat has become his reputation around town and people take him for a ride every single chance they get. I'm not allowed to say a single thing about it, he just refuses to stand up for himself and sees no behavior as bad ever. I'm serious. Someone stole shit from him and when I said, "you should stop letting them around here because they're stealing" he said to me, "you don't know if they still do that. You're just a hateful …

I've known 18 year olds who were into 30-50 year old guys, but not a one was in the right position mentally or emotionally to do so: all came from just awful backgrounds, especially ones where their fathers were abusive or absent. Trauma makes you do that sort of thing, and those dudes just eat it right up. After all, it's legal right? Who cares who they hurt. :(

If the age of consent was lowered to 16 everywhere, men would want it to be 13 instead. After that, they'll want it to be abolished. Prove me wrong. It's not about "fun", it's about protecting people who are barely adults (and sometimes not even adults, in the case of people in places where AOC is 16 or 17)from psychological damage done by sick fucks like this guy. Guys who vehemently defend sex with people who have undeveloped brains (and a guy once tried to convince me that this scientific evi…

I know the original post isn't about software engineers, but I've had a lot of bad luck with ones in their early twenties, yikes. Sometimes they're very sweet, just timid and lonely and with love and encouragement they can blossom into great, independent and self-driven men (or they are already), but I've found that more often than not they've been raised by the internet and have run the gamut of weird kinks and shit, with just the worst ideas about women that they got from porn or moe anime or …

And when it's not a boner, it's the cold rage at the inconvenience. Just staring daggers into you, as if to say "are you done? Man, women and their hysterics. So uncomfortable."

My dad and I built one of these for my brother when he was little. It was really cool. I don't know why it has to be sexual like that.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard "it takes two" in response to the shit my ex did. Every one of his exes were "crazy" and not a soul bothered to see the pattern. Whatever. :/

B-but muh master key! Muh shitty lock! You know that's what dudes will say if you mention this to them too. They know their logic doesn't stand up, so they use the fact that it's socially acceptable to hate women as a shield for their insecurity.

I did meet someone, finally. He's great. Unafraid of picking up tampons for me, understands and agrees with feminist ideals (including that porn is evil, he keeps up with the news and we have passionate discussions about it), splits housework with me, and our personalities mesh so well and everything is great. We're equals. I'm not putting my eggs into this basket yet, but right now I'm happy and I've got a good feeling about him. They're out there. I'm not saying all men suck, but you've gotta …

I do not hesitate to cut a man off for being trash, whether I'm attached to him or not. Does he defend being in age gap relationships with teenagers? Does he criticize my body? Are his morals fuelled by his dick? Is he wishy washy? One misogynistic comment and he's out. So on, so forth. Maybe I'm a bitch, but I'm so sick of men using and abusing. There are so many out there that it's just not worth it to devote myself to someone I'm going to disagree on the big issues with, and if my pickiness m…

I hate getting in this debate with people. "My grandparents were 13 and 25 when they got together and they've been together for over 70 years!" like yeah, it worked out like that because women weren't treated like people back then. That man has owned her for so long that she never saw a world outside of him. Ugh.

Yeah, my guy now is like that! He doesn't watch a lot of porn and isn't particularly "manly". Very cuddly, can appreciate good skincare, knows nothing about stuff like cars or sports. I'm lucky that less macho nerds are my type, but they tend to come with way too much baggage and need help from a professional, not a romantic partner. Definitely noticed the porn link too. The less they watch, the lower the expectations and the more open guys are to trying things that don't involve jackhammering a…

I've had luck one time, which really isn't great odds. This particular guy is nerdy (I like nerdy guys, but as a lot of people know they can be really toxic too) and ridiculously sweet. Eager to learn, legitimately honest in his social media activity and interactions with others, proves he likes me every day completely unprompted with gestures like gifts and he even does chores (!!) I'm still with him now, but in this case the problem is a lack of maturity. We're young so I don't expect too much…

One. That's because he was a virgin when I met him and I showed him exactly what to do though.

Once you get with a guy who's gentle, listens to you, and is actually interested in making you orgasm the difference in the quality of sex becomes so obvious. That fraction of a percentage is out there, and oh my God are they like none other. If more men were willing to put forth that kind of effort I think the whole world would be better for it.

They always say "most women" this and "most women" that. Like, who. Who would genuinely say that? Because I know who: super pick-mes and chicks in his imagination. They use that line for everything. "Most chicks I know like anal." "Most women I know have flat stomachs." "Girls all love sex, that's what all of my friends told me (bonus points if they include lesbians in this shit)." Fake testimonials to make you feel small and like a freak. Trying to scare you into flushing down your standards an…

Also old dudes are gross and ugly and you can't lie your way out of that. He knows that, but he's banking on you not knowing that. Very well done, OP. Proud of you.

LVMs will lie and gaslight as much as they want, if they're over a certain age and with teens is because they're pursuing teens. That's their type, inexperienced young people with brains that aren't done developing. They knew they ain't shit. All the time I hear, "it's legal so shut up" but marrying literal children is legal in some states, and you can have sex with animals in West Virginia but I guess that's not a conversation we're ready for, huh.

I get angry about irresponsible parenting. I was the product of it. It doesn't matter who's "happy", don't make a child suffer for your own poor judgment.

If whether or not being friends with a guy hinges on my "fuckability", I don't think I want to be friends with men. Every guy I've dated started as a friend. I think they're all lining up hoping for a chance and that's the only reason guys want to be friends with me at all.

Guarentee those "negotiations" mean he gets to see other people and she doesn't. Men don't negotiate with open relationships because they want to be the only ones to benefit from them.

I hope that son isn't with the 27F, like I seriously hope that was with someone else because they would have made them 23 and 15. If they've been together that long though, that might also be why he can get away with this stuff on a shared account (assuming they're still together and/or sharing that account if my assumption is even right at all). Of course, based on these comments he's into kids so whatever. Fucked up, evil world man. :/
