For the first 2 years after divorce, we did 2-2-3. It was nice seeing my child so often and allowed me to do things for myself every week. However, scheduling future plans was sort of a nightmare The past 4 years have been 7-7. It is much easier to make plans. I will say I miss my child like hell after day 3. On the flip side, I.am pretty worn out by day 7 of having my child but that's life. Most importantly, I think 7-7 is easier for my child. He knows where he is every week and isn't constantl…

So many of these posts are guys in shock or torn apart about divorce. It's a huge life change that will rock someone to his core! We think about everything lost: years, finances, material possessions. Some never recover. But what rarely gets shared is there is hope. Everything can be recovered but time. Good for you! There's a lot of feelings of spite for exes in these threads. ..and I get it and have been there but you can't really find happiness until you let go. It doesn't mean you need to forget the hurt but it can't dictate your whole life. The road to happiness is overcoming misfortune, being present in the moment, finding new opportunities, and making the best of our current situation.

It's not for you; it's for the well being of your children and you…

I'm on 2-2-3 schedule and it works great because I never go that long without seeing my son. I think it also helped him with the transition to two households. With that said, it's tedious for scheduling future plans and my ex and I are pretty sure we are going to go to every other week starting in summer. We discussed which day will be the switch but I'm leaning towards Monday.
