Love threads like this. I like my image to match (what I hope is) my personality: feminine, classic, calm, and straightforward. My naturally long and straight blonde hair is my signature feature, and I always wear it one of two ways: completely loose, or in a half updo. My cosmetics are the same whether I'm camping or at a black tie event: eyelash extentions (the semi-permanent ones customized individually by an esthetician, not the drugstore ones,) lip stain, blush, and sunscreen. For clothes, …

I live in one of the most casual-dress cities in the USA and I wear dresses/skirts about 70% of the time, including Saturday morning errands. I do stick out, and receive plenty of compliments (all genders and ages) on doing so. Heels are a slightly different story. You can and should practice wearing them, but don't wear 6-inch stilettos if you can't comfortably walk in them - at best you'll look ridiculous, at worst you'll fall and crack your head open. Wear the height that you can currently ha…

ENTJ here, happily married. I found that extroversion made dating easier, not harder, so I'm bit confused by the question...happy to answer any specifics!

Regarding your last sentence - what does your husband think? It's his opinion that's the most important. I personally would not care to be friends with someone who comes into my home and speaks about my husband (and my life) in that way. If she was genuinelly concerned about you, she'd phrase it that way "are you sure you're comfortable quitting work? I know you said you loved your job." She's entitled to dislike your husband, but not to speak of him and your relationship in such a disrespectful…

In Canada, I love RW&Co skirts - mine have lasted 8+ years with virtually no wear (better quality than Banana, Club Monaco etc) and at a much more affordable pricepoint. Also very uniform sizing - if you're a size 4 in one skirt, you're a size 4 in all skirts. Love it.

Love this! I grew up rurally with a tomboy mum (who actually has a good eye for style, just can't be bothered with it.) I did the tight jeans and brand-name t-shirts in high school like my peers did; then got more into style after working in a high-end ladieswear shop in uni. I'm also a minimalist, so I swear by my a capsule wardrobe. Each season has a different pallet (many items can be moved from one season to another, ie.the same cherry red blouse can be worn with heather grey linen slacks in…

I'm in mine! Shared values, division of labor. I keep the house spotless, make delicious healthy meals, plan parties, and send the birthday cards. He pays the bills (we both work outside the home, my income is play money and investments.) An emphasis on harmony and grace - no raising voices or being unkind. Cultivation of relationships with extended family and friends. Lots of sex. In a few years? The same thing except with me staying at home raising beautiful children, both biological and adopt…

Yup. Get better friends. A normal response would have been "I can't today, when are you free next?" or "Sorry, I don't like pools, would you like to go out for lunch instead?"

What the other comment said! The best hostess is one who takes the preferences of her guests into account. That means communicating about food and bevvy preferences, and especially rules / routines / preferences/ quirks of the kids. It could also mean, say, getting a bouquet of mum's favorite flowers for the dinner table, or leaving a kitkat on your sister's pillow because she loves them. For breakfast or brunch food, I'm a big fan of pancakes / waffles /crepes because the batter can be made ahe…
