Yes, not for them, but... & I imagine this is probably even a worse issue for younger women - I was born in '77 and honestly? I'm not really sure I've ever met / been with a HVM that meets the standards of what I want, or expect, or give. And eventually - It just kind of starts to wear you out, then down. It's nice to see what to look out for, sure. But what should we be looking for in a partner? And if you do have a good match, but he's not up to track in certain aspects, what are some ways tha…

How about doing it so young FDS'ers have real life examples of what they're vetting for? This isn't WGTOW - It is refreshing to see this kind of content on FDS.

The doctor & my ex-husband did this to me. Now I have to make sure I'm thoroughly wet before penetration or it's painful.

I failed a senior year math class after refusing a sexual advance: I ended up not graduating & had to get my GED. I was 1/2 credit short.

I know it's painful but my husband and I have gotten significantly improved sleep since getting separate bedrooms for sleeping.

From my dentist: Instead of an electric toothbrush, the #1 thing you can get gadget-wise for your teeth is a water flosser. She says, (and you should ask your dentist about this,) that most folks apply way too much pressure when brushing, especially with an electric toothbrush, but not enough pressure when flossing. Water flossers are her recommended purchase, ask your dentist. Congrats on glowing up! Sounds like you're setting & achieving some amazing goals!!!

I think an excellent response is: "Can you date women taller than you?" My husband is the first man I dated shorter than myself where it wasn't some weird ego issue and that just made him sexier: That level of confidence. Mind you, few years into our relationship I found out why: When we are sitting we're the same height. He admitted he didn't realize for a lot longer than he should have that I'm taller! (It's a nominal difference.) For professional reasons, I don't know if a relationship with t…

I'm conflicted. Every time I have a female gynecologist she has spectacular nails. Fantastic, they're lovely but... Could you maybe not scrape my cervix with them? I know it's petty & I sound flippant, but seriously though, that shit hurts. I prefer a sturdy NP for my lady-needs.

I don't know if you've a caffeine intake anything like mine, but since you are tracking, when you start you IB regimine you should decrease your caffeine intake: It can help lessen the severity of cramping. (For some... YMMV.)

Exactly: It's coercion through emotional abuse, specifically the continued cold shoulder the following day. He's given a very clear directive here: If you do not cave to my badgering & blackmail, give in to my demands for sexual release, I will abandon you & call you worthless. Regaedless of any attempts on your part to apologize, or in reparations of loving behavior on your part. It's incredibly abusive.

Ah. The old "I'm surrounded by assholes," argument :) ... Or well, in this case "intellectually challenged," argument. I will really have to think on this. I'll never call ADD ...ADhD... in reference to myself, unless I'm rediagnosed, as it wasn't my original diagnosis. Personally I find the "hyperactive," term offensive for most folks suffering from that particular mental illness: I suppose it's generally in reference to how their brains work in "hyper" speed, not so much a physical manifestati…

Personally, I guess you were speaking with OP, but I am a phone monkey at work, I've no issues & can even be incredibly charismatic in short bursts. My job demands it. It's the: judging other folks facial expressions / reactions & understanding their motivations & feelings. Combined with understanding proper social mores & finding the majority of folks I regularly interact with... I believe that would be what you would do. I am very rough on my rings, so I haven't bothered. If you do decide to go this route or with a similar ring with inlaid chips & speak to a shopkeeper as opposed to buying it online (which I'd recommend, if possible,) that'd be the first question I would ask.

I got my wedding band & engagement ring from the jewellery exchange for under 1K. https://imgur.com/8oR62LB.jpg ... I highly recommend checking them out, my rings value at 1/3 more than I paid and have held up pretty well over the years minus a couple of the inlaid diamond chips falling out, which is probably my fault, not a quality issue.

My observations in these cases were often that women after who get that commitment refuse to accept anything less. And beyond that, they're controlling, they rule these guys with an iron fist. I'm married, I've no stake in this game, it's no sense of jealousy on my part: But, seriously... Like, I just don't get it. I've seen guys time & time again tell a perfectly lovely woman "they're just not ready," only to mere months or less later to be in a serious relationship with a stone cold, controlli…

Video games might not be as big of an issue as two other things here: his online demeanor being that of a 14 year old boy, between the racially charged trash talking & sexting. IMO, neither of those things are acceptable & both lead to a huge decrease in the respect I would feel for any person I interact with: let alone my husband. Sexting other women is not acceptable: it's emotional infidelity. Second: I cannot abide by relationship standards in which men have little to no responsibility towar…

He tried to convince you to go out to eat with his friends because he "has a lot of work to do," sounds like code for banging my side chick... I'm sorry, I don't know what your response should / could be to this honestly, it's not something I say lightly... His reaction though when you said you'd just come home like usual? Shady, as, fuck. If he's not stepping out on you, it's something else nefarious enough that he needs to go to lengths to hide it from you.

I think maybe it's one of your jobs as a Mom, occasionally, (not constantly,) to mention how very much his Dad loves him & is proud of him. It can temper your husband's gruffness & brighten your son's outlook. I don't know anything about raising boys, though, I had a daughter, so honestly, I'm not sure if that's right.

I've always found asking for a hand to work really well. "Hey, I'm doing x. Could you do y, to set me up to do z?" That said, I want you to know, I'm not RP, first off, though I incorporate a lot of RP ideas into my life. I know I'm going to go against the flow here, but maybe this is a situation the two of you can meet each other halfway on... It is, imo, a bit immature to sprawl your mess out all over the place for someone else to clean / deal with. You have a full time & part time job. I don'…

I've observed that much of the attitude on this sub isn't how to get the best outcome for women in the relationship, but the best outcome for the couple, as a functioning unit. I feel like that is a key difference.

The way he's initiating is immature & unsexy. I would consider tactfully broaching the subject with him, bringing up some of the things that would work better at getting your groove back. Chances are that the stress has made you a bit more reactive than proactive. Check out r/deadbedrooms for a better explanation, but I think it boils down to needing your partner to take charge in initiating love making in a way that makes you feel sexually needed, desired & wanted; someone actively working at t…

It's weird. When hubby man isn't home, %99.9 of the time I remember to turn on the fan when using the oven, but when he's home that # goes down to, like %2. He comes into the kitchen jokingly grumbling, "Okay, you gotta turn the fan on," and does it for me. Do you guys think I just want his kitchen expertise around?

I don't mean to come off as harsh, but your sister's behavior is shameful. Im sorry you've had to process someone who is supposed to support & love you telling you that your only chance is dating a 13 year old autistic boy. You shouldn't have to ignore this; it's disgusting behavior.

I'd recommend considering bringing this up as a health concern: ask for & offer to get an STI screening before ditching condoms. I don't know how the pill affects you, personally, but I feel wary of men who put their personal pleasure ahead of my well being. The pill was awful for me & I now have a non hormonal IUD, which I absolutely love. Discuss this with him & your health care provider to find what works best for you.

I thought this was a joke from Bojack Horseman: "I can't believe this country hates women, more than it loves guns." It's an interesting episode that touches on the feeling of freedom women who have CCW could feel: "I can walk down the street and feel fearless, like a man," kinda thing because she's carrying a gun.

I don't mean to pry, but you seem like you might be young yet... You've an amazing opportunity. I am not saying you should willingly go into "monk mode," as folks around here say.... but... This almost never works when any part of the couples do things "in private" as your husband is suggesting. Generally the idea of what happened between you and another man is MUCH more painful than actually seeing it. Don't do this if everyone is not on board with being in the same room, especially with as little experience as you guys have in swinging. I've had a lot of experience with this sort of thing, feel free to ask questions of me if you want, I am very open about my past.

Move on - this guy is not worth the drama & is already showing signs of controlling behavior. Perhaps spending some time reflecting on yourself & letting everyone in your group start forgetting your & your exes antics might help future relationships. Really consider why you felt the need to publicize your relationship as you were, and begin working on limiting your social media posting; it's not healthy, emotionally.

Putting you down once in front of other people is too much: and yeah... correcting you in front of others is a kind of put down :( When your partner worries more about what others think than they do about your feelings & needs to put you in your place, (possibly to make themselves feel / or look better?,) it's a huge detriment to a relationship that needs to be addressed. Honestly? In my opinion the person he needs to discuss your relationship with is you not venting your all's personal issues t…

How many men you've slept with in the past is your business & yours alone. It doesn't matter & men (generally,) don't like the idea of any more than one guy in your past, (a lot of guys get just as freaked out by virgins as they do "too" experienced women) as long as you are making a commitment to one man, your sexual history has little effect on the present, barring STD's and dissatisfaction. I've slept with more people than I can count. I was abused as a child & for a long time, I had a diffic…

Maybe talk about it with him. I don't know, but telling him that you'd like to be more intimate after 3+ years of rejection, might be a really big ego boost. Share your fears & insecurities with him: make yourself vulnerable in that way. The act of opening up to him & asking him to take control of initiating intimacy might make you feel sexy in the end. If you are uncomfortable with the way your body looks, maybe you and your husband could start exercising together 2-3 times a week. One thing th…

So... ah, let's see: He's a know it all who feels the need to consistently correct you / one up you in the useless trivia of daily conversation... that's fun! Does he do this in front of other people? He doesn't have the leadership qualities that make a good captain... that's definitely something that sounds fixable with some work on your part, i.e. the suggested reading. My first thought right off the bat, pace yourself to the point of being %90 sober. One thing you can do to keep people from constantly trying to get you a drink is to nurse a cranberry / seltzer drink. They don't have to know there's no vodka in it. The #1 way SO's mess this sort of thing up is by drinking too much. In regards to the boxing, in my experience, most men love seeing women enjoy sports. The guys my husband and I hang out with do, at least. Being a real fan is a boon, not a detractor…

You mentioned something that jumped out to me... your husband had you sell your car so you wouldn't go out with the baby so much because of germs. No one else seems to have brought this up, so I will. There is absolutely no logical reason behind this. Your husband has done your child and yourself a grave disservice; his actions when making that decision for your family are insanely controlling. Other than that, I do believe your husband has checked out of your marriage, I am sorry.

Ah! My apologies, I thought you were attempting to assign blame for the process of choosing who you're going to remain friends with in this couple. Which I have seen a lot of. It rarely works out well for the person who is attempting to navigate through another couples problems. That said, without knowing the specifics of their relationship, it would seem you've already come to the decision that the cheater was / is at fault. Who knows who was at fault, in their relationship which none of us are privy to the day-to-day experiences between each other? I'd argue it's none of our business, too. If you want to remain friends with both... definitely keep any fault finding thoughts you have to yourself.

I was kidding. That said he respects me because I fulfill the expected social contract between us as partners in life. Because I do fulfill those expectations, and quite well at that, yes, I don't just want his respect, I demand it. Love without respect is reserved for children. I am a partner, not a child.

How long have you two been together? If it's been awhile, maybe butterflies every time you kiss are a bit much to expect?, but if that feeling was never there, perhaps you aren't attracted to him... honestly, the fact that you ask, in itself is a bit of a red flag. It's not easy to achieve orgasm, for a woman, certainly not at your age, especially with a young and inexperienced partner. I think there is a lot to be said for tackling life together: showing a potential mate that you are capable of working through any problem the world can throw at the two of you? Priceless. That is what the modern western man needs, a partner willing and capable in navigating life's pitfalls & pleasures.

To the point: "Friend, I don't think a threesome is a good idea, but it's really none of my business. That said, I don't know how comfortable I am with how often you bring this up to me. I am not a potential partner for casual sexcapades with your new fiance." If she's brought it up more than three times to you, she's sounding out whether or not you're interested in being a third.

No, but I am not really sure what should be done in those kinds of cases. Obviously the child is mentally / emotionally broken & there's not much of a chance one is coming back from that. I still don't think they should be charged as adults, but there has to be some sort of criminally insane hospital where a child would able to attend daily therapy & be kept from harming themselves / others.

Not that a man would get, but what boys would get. No child should be charged as an adult. These girls should be charged with every single thing they could be charged with: but not as a man, as a child.
