The specific case is a sex trafficking victim killing a pedophile because she was afraid for her life, of course that changes things. I don’t give a shit that she’s a woman and he was a man.

Wait, that note contradicts the idea that she did it to see how it felt. If everything is true except that she thought he was reaching for a gun, that means she still thought he was going to kill her, even if that doesn’t mean immediately shooting her. How do you know she knew he was asleep? How do you know she was telling the truth to the other prisoners? It’s in your best interest to make yourself look tough in prison. All her other testimony contradicts that, including things that were meant …

I was using this source for my story and the Wikipedia article you linked described it as a robbery, as did the prosecution, so I don’t know where you got the idea that she did it for funsies. Need I remind you that misinformation is against the guidelines? And by the by, her former prosecutor testified on her behalf during her clemency trial. I know you think you’re right about this, but I don’t think the odds shake out very well in your favor.

Wait, Cyntoia Brown was forced into sex trafficking and then killed a pedophile because she was afraid for her life, what the fuck are you on about? How is this not okay?

I know I’m not the person you asked, but just so that you understand, toxic masculinity is when masculinity becomes harmful, often to men. For example, the expectation that men aren’t supposed to cry can be emotionally damaging, or the idea that men with small penises are somehow less valuable.

Ah, yes. One person (who I can be sure really believes this) said some wild shit, therefore, you all believe it.

Jesus Christ, man. Why are we conflating men’s art with men? This person never said they don’t care about men. The entertainment industry is dominated by men at high-level positions. Surely we’re not going to pretend we don’t see the difference between expressing that you’re tired of women being underrepresented and just saying you don’t care about men, right?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
