Dude try a Fleshlight no joke. Its amazing, i got one for a deployment and changed my view on sex toys. The price is steep but worth it.

For me it was missing the life. And dealing with mundane drudgery, and when you get your edge good an sharp you get shipped back and expected to turn everything off right away. Normal life is a horror all of its own, and I think many people miss the more simple time in combat but then feel guilty about it. You can't exactly have a nice chat about that with the boys at the water cooler.

I believe we agree that such a "test" has merit in theory and your main concern is with implementation. But there are countless ways to work around danger while maintaining it's illusion. And to be honest hardship is no bad thing in my mind, as long as its transitory. At no point am I advocating giving 12 year old boys an old blanket and a wood spear and leaving them on a mountain to find thier way back, that's absurd. But how easy is it to spook kids with the unknown, a simple night with the ad…

When the average woman tries to be more than a money sink I sometimes get to jack off into maybe I'll be interested in marriage.

But I think many young men do need exactly that kind of test. Be it a survival thing (week in the woods), a type of physical test (some sort of difficult course, you get the idea. I would wager the more demanding the test the better the response from young men would be. Something that woudl let them know "Okay now I'm not a child anymore, now I am part of the club." That was the reason I included the war stuff because it fills what in many people's minds as a type of test. One that our cultures …

I fought in 2 wars, and I've never felt the same again. The people I were with changed in a lot of ways. For me the mere fact of being down range was something special and gave things a more real feel. Even normal things like enjoying a shower, geting some clean clothes, enjoying a nice day all the things you take for granted are magnified and made more important by the fact that they could be gone. It had a wonderful focusing effect on many people, the job became important there were measurable…

Friend, I have a very similar outlook. I just realize it for what it is and try to work around it. Try to treat them on the individual level, but keep in mind the possibility of them to behave in the ways you expect. And use it to keep yourself insulated against the more common forms of shenanigans * Emotional blackmail, disproportional aggression, viewing you as disposable at best.*

Honestly after the first year it gets easier to forget about sex. Just think about all the hoops you have to jump through, all the various ways you could get trapped, the odds of having her flip on you a year down the road. Buy a fleshlight, do your thing and go right back to what you wanted to do.

Oh I'm well aware, but I was attempting to not focus on that and engage the voice of reason or failing that, to highlight the lack thereof.

So nothing in here has clicked with you? Nothing has seemed out of balance? That seems strange that a man could see this and not see the inequality. I mean as a man you've had to live through the same things we all have right? As a man you've had people look at you as disposable and easily replaced. Or have you not noticed the huge discrepancy of the law system that makes you the lowest common denominator, or the lack of social services that have your interests, or the complete lack of a voice i…

What about it? I'll be old and still do as I am now. Enjoying my hobbies, spending time with close friends, enjoying solitude. Or dead. Either way I don't see it as a problem. Plenty of people ruin their lives, or having terrible things happen. Many people in their 50s are alone but they aren't alone because they chose it but because that is what life has left them with. Because they were no longer "the man she/he married." Or because "I need mroe excitement." even normal everyday death of your …

Equal rights, equal fights. Someone touches me after being told not to touch me I'm now being threatened, worse I'm being emasculated and no one has the right to do that. And if white knights want to jump in they have just become aggressors to me and are fair game. I'm not saying fishhooking, or crushing her collar bone, but equal escalation of force. Sometimes people need to remember that other people are infact dangerous and deserve respect.
