There was interesting lecture I saw on Youtube (cant remember name sorry) about how household spending has changed over the decades, particularly after women entered the workforce. Rather than making houses easier to buy because you were pooling income together it had the opposite effect. Housing is limited and people competed to purchase but now with double the buying power. Ive always thought an interesting experiment would be to hire a chopper and drop a whole tribe of these "strong independent women" into the middle of the jungle. Oh and they cant take anything with them that has men involved at any point of its creation (financing, mining raw materials, design, manufacture, distribution etc). So that would mean they pretty much can't take anything. Would make a lovely reality tv show to see just how "strong and independent" they really are.

I look at this way...in saying "just be yourself" women are saying to men to presently yourself honestly to make their mate choice as easy as possible. Its no secret that men are attracted to women's body/looks (reproductive health indicator blah blah). Do women present how they look "honestly"? Do they just be themselves in the physical sense? No they spend billions of dollars on potions, magazines, beauty tips, push-up bras, fashion whatever. They spend hours getting ready for dates. So to rep…
