Tricked on first, tried for 2nd cuz trapped right? Yep. So many brothers... The thought of having to give 1/4 your income to a cunning bitch is something you never get used to. 1/4, if you're lucky. It's more like 1/2 your net income if you were married.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Women can be extremely cruel. The problem is that the system is set up to assume you're a total fuckup. You get absolutely no respite for mistakes (as a man.) My experience tells me the main problem you have is that you allowed four months to go by without seeing your daughter. Any judge will say you are now not in her life and that is clear with the order for 2 supervised hours every other week. Further, your lack of violent predisposition doesn't matter. Y…

When hearing my story, the most common reaction after "WTF?", is asking me to write about it. I feel like it would make me too naked and vulnerable especially when my business relies on a squeaky clean image.

That's incredible. I'm saddened that we are brothers in this experience. Well for anyone else reading this, most jurisdictions can accept email as being served, so the process would be something like this: Get an order from a judge that she must return the kids by a certain date. Get the judge to say that email her or anyone she would be in contact with a sufficient medium for serving your ex. Get your lawyer to email your ex, her mother, and everyone else who knows her the order. Any order will…

The market has changed a lot which is why it's taking time to get back to where I was before. I'm confident I can make it.

The lawyers said there are two strikes against me: I am not white I was huge and have always looked intimidating. My kids said if they didn't know me they would be petrified of me. From this perspective, I don't blame the cops but I think they should have shown some intelligence in their investigation. Probably one more: I am a man. Something about the way I'm put together seems to make these people (cops, lawyers) think that I don't need help or protection. I went into a lawyer's office to see …

I think the moral of my story is never to take away a man's freedom, whether physical or moral. Marriage doesn't HAVE to be a prison, but with the wrong partner it can be. Yep, I really was making $300K/year. When I first reached that level my initial reaction was "Wow, this is easy..." I did not know that is baller! Nice to meet someone who had been in my situation. I honestly don't worry about the past anymore. I'm just trying to figure out what smart dudes would do in my current situation goi…

These are all doable recommendations. Diet is great. I eat "low carb" and can eyeball pretty well. I do have a problem with binge eating when a super stressful period comes along. But I usually binge eat within macros. Fortunately, these periods only last a couple of weeks. I need to figure out some way to take control of myself during these situations. Only now are my friends even having children let alone trying to grow a business while being the main caregiver so it's hard for them to underst…

Seems a little new-agey but I think I heard Elliott Hulse recommend this book or the author on his channel. What did you like about the book? You're right that no external thing will make me happy but I don't think I said otherwise. The business bit is just to make sure my kids are taken care of (private school is expensive, after all).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
