Says he had a small funeral "with his wife and two children" in attendance which is not logically equivalent to saying "with only his wife and two children." Earned $150,000 working for Microsoft in Seattle my first year out of university. It's definitely possible, if you're a top graduate. I can't imagine someone would be three years into university and still have both of these options, however. Most medical students apply after their third year and for CS you should have done at least one internship by then.
