Did I fucking say that? No. Stop putting words in my mouth and trying to make this about you. This is about boys and how the attitude inherent in gender studies classes and modern social justice Marxism is doing actual harm. You don't get equality by turning around and beating the self-confidence out of an entire group of people just because they look like the kind of people who may or may not have kept your dead ancestors from voting.

That's because it is. If a parent raised their son telling him that he is inherently more violent than girls, that there is something broken in him because of his gender, that girls are right to be afraid of him, that his desires are akin to rape, and that his masculinity is "toxic" to a civilized society, CPS would have grounds to remove that child from the home. But this is the kind of crap that's being shoved in the faces of young impressionable boys by these social justice assholes, and so m…

I think they meant were you looking at numbers for black people or non-whites? Because while the black population is probably lower, the percentage of non white people is roughly the same.

Yes, let's just ignore the fact that women make up a huge chunk of both the authors and the readers of books. Wtf. 2016 is a far cry from the days when women had to publish under a pseudonym, so let's all stop acting like nothing has changed in 200 years.

"Alleged gunman"? I'm pretty sure that was fucking confirmed.

A child is not able to truly consent to sex, particularly with an authority figure who they believe has power and control over them.

I said I was a gay rights activist because I was, because I'm queer.

Many of my friends who identify as feminists have been activists for the rights of marginalized people for a long time, and that includes the LGBT community. I lumped myself into that branch of activism because I'm bisexual, so I actually have a horse in that race.

No, I don't think that at all. My focus is on body autonomy, that is, a woman should have the right to not have a person growing inside her for nine months and be responsible for that life for eighteen years if she wants. I also believe that the man who knocked her up should be able to choose to not be a father and be responsible for a woman's choice, either with his time or his money, for eighteen years.

They're central doctrines of the current wave of feminism, yeah. It's been hijacked by baby activists who want to change the world all at once and are adhering to radical ideas like they're religion, and treating those who don't agree like apostates. Meanwhile, you've got older feminists like myself who openly mock the current social climate because we were too busy fighting for women's reproductive rights and gay marriage and such that we didn't get the memo that we're suddenly supposed to be o…

God, that's awful. There's such a societal taboo against a man defending himself against female violence, even to the point where a man will take it, and take it, and take it without the option of ever being able to physically make it stop. Sorry your Dad has to endure that.

The reason you've never seen man-on-woman domestic abuse might have something to do with the people you know, tbh. If you hang out with upstanding guys, chances are good they're not hitting their female SOs. I've seen the aftermath before, usually that kind of thing happens behind closed doors. The majority of male abusers don't leave marks, or leave marks in places that are easily covered by clothes, like bruises in the kidney area. I also know a guy who was abused by his wife for years, and by…

Well sure. If you admit more women into combat roles in the military, the veteran suicide rate will rise with women in the military. One follows the other. If anything, this makes it abundantly clear that the problem is with the way veterans are treated in this country. I really hope this is the way the conversation goes, and it doesn't become a female-only issue like so many other topics of discussion.

No, that's like the term "reverse racism". It's still racism even if it's against white people, and it's still rape culture if it looks bad for the woman involved.

A friend of mine was just accused of sexual assault by a woman he was involved with for a year, so that tactic isn't exactly guaranteed either. Personally, I'd steer well clear of college-aged feminists, given the current tendency to classify regret sex as rape.

Kinda strange that you can't revoke consent to taking consent classes, isn't it?

An older person beat up a much younger person over a seat. That's not a gender issue, that's just fucking stupid. And misogynism isn't a word. There's misogyny and sexism, but you went and mashed those two words together.

Much as I'd like verifiable proof, I'm not sure how legal it'd be to post, even if it's photoshopped.

Literature and book publishing is already dominated by women from the top down. Romance novels are still the best selling genre, and it's consumed primarily by women. JK Rowling, Stephanie Meyer, EL James and Suzanne Collins have multi million dollar film franchises under their belts. So don't sit there and tell me that women are discriminated against in the literary world because that's a huge pile of pure bullshit.

I can't help but think that this kind of protest isn't healthy for her recovery. If she was raped, carrying around a reminder of that event all year and putting it in a spotlight, no matter how "important" it might be in a grander cultural context, isn't helping her get past it and move on.

black men always have the media guarding their backs Except when they're looking for reasons an unarmed black teenager got shot to death by the cops.

No....no it doesn't. In fact, I'm pretty sure this sub has run numerous articles illustrating the ridiculousness of SJWs claiming that, because of the new definition of racism that takes oppression points into account, they're not capable of being racist even when they totally are.

Why it should matter to all gamers: You can chalk this one up to Anita Sarkeesian and the SJW offendatrons who have been accusing game devs of sexism and misogyny so long and so hard that they're now actively avoiding writing any female characters at all just so as not to get thrown under the bus by the San Francisco social Marxists. THIS is why I hate Anita. Not because she's a woman speaking her mind about my hobby, I wouldn't give a fuck about her if that was all she was doing. No, I hate her…

I was referring to the psychological state of someone in an abusive relationship. You make excuses, put up with it, say that "well, at least s/he's not hitting me", and even if you do want to leave, you've lost contact with anyone who could help you and you have no way to squirrel away money if your abuser has control of the finances. There are ways to get out, but many times the victim is emotionally beaten down by that point. Of course, this isn't the same in every situation, but that was my e…

THIS. Remove the victim's support system, take away their friends, remove them from their family. That way they have no one left but their abuser or those their abuser approves of. Bet you anything she's controlling the finances under the guise of it being the best decision for the household, too. Then he can never leave her, or he'll believe he can't (which is the same thing, really). Source: Happened to me, with my ex-husband.

The hell he put me through for five months Married for one week One then wonders why the fuck she married him in the first place. She sounds like an abusive person who doesn't want to give up her favorite plaything/victim. Someone please save this guy from her.

You were asked if you accepted that men have it worse...you bullshitted. "But there are certainly ways in which men have it worse." No, I don't think I did, actually. I agree that there are certain areas in which men have it worse, for sure. I said that. There's no women's rights that need any focus. Zero. Well, that's a very Americentric/first world view. There are areas of the world where FGM is still performed. And before you bring circumcision into this (something I'm also against, btw), kno…

TrollX has a pretty great atmosphere, IMO, if you're looking for a good place to vent about girl stuff. I like it there, much more laid back than TwoX. It's a shame that so many women are being driven out of certain communities over relatively minor disagreements. I'm not a unicorn, though, there are a lot of other moderate egalitarian types out there. Try not to let it get you down too much, I really believe the pendulum is about to start swinging toward the center soon. At least, I hope so.

Absolutely, I agree with you. I assume you've seen Karen Straughan's videos? She speaks very eloquently about just that subject, that there are responsibilities that go with the rights men have had historically. I'd be for having women sign up for the draft and taking equal financial responsibility for their children. The thing is that society has consistently treated women in a certain way for centuries, and breaking the current system down is going to take some time. What sucks for me personal…

I'm a moderate feminist. Egalitarian would probably be closer to what I am, actually, because this is a very nuanced question. In the first world, feminism has largely done it's job. Women are now allowed in almost if not every career field, we have the vote, we can serve in the military, etc. But there are certainly ways in which men have it worse. I know of a fair few fathers who have become every other weekend dads even if they would be better parents than the mother. Men don't have as many r…
