What I said goes for men too. And I don't mean that we should throw out our judicial system and just believe what people say and book people off of he-said, she-said. I mean that every rape allegation should be taken seriously, regardless of whether or not is true. Serious allegation leading to due process, everything. Sure, yes, people lie about being raped.. but then people use that as a reason to not care when someone makes an allegation because "they're probably lying."

As a female feminist, this scares me. This scares me a lot. If it's hurtful to invalidate and shame the sex lives of women, then it is equally as hurtful to invalidate and shame the sex lives of men. As a woman, I find this silly. No point to "punish" you or withhold financial support over a systemic and complex issue that isn't solely your fault (it's not your fault at all, really.) I would have gladly accepted your request!
