I read somewhere that George Harrison of The Beatles once said the only thing he looked for in a woman was attraction. Everything else he could get from a man. Words to live by.

I started going bald at 15. When I eventually shaved it almost 10 years later, I actually started getting more attention from women than I ever had at any time when I had hair. I was even told by girls who I liked as a teenager that I looked so much better bald and, had I looked like that when we were younger, they would have dated me. And I'm not that good looking, although I do have a beard. Your mileage may vary, but I spent many, many years worrying about going bald, and after I finally did …

Don't worry, in a few months, given the collapsing economy and the aftermath of this virus, none of this crap will matter nearly as much or get nearly the attention it has over the last few years. I have a strong feeling this nonsense and a lot of things like it will be put on the back-burner where they belong and stay there for a long, long time. Maybe indefinitely. Real problems are coming, and they're going to need our full attention. The time of whining over nothing and giving screeching idi…

She was born into a rich family, courtesy of her father, who helped her get to where she is now. She owes her entire career to a man, who undoubtedly supported her not because of his SEXIST MALE PRIVILEGE (TM), but because he loves her and wanted her to pursue her dreams, like many fathers. The best thing you can do in response to garbage like this is to not support it. Don't watch it. And listen to better music/artists.

Actually I was about to go on my weekly women and children spree, but reading this really made me reconsider. This Andrew P Street fella, whoever he is, is certainly one of the good ones, which is odd because everyone knows ALL MEN ARE THE DEVIL.

The notion of male fragility is a feminist myth. If anything, men are anti-fragile, if you're familiar with the concept.

A lot of these people just spew the same old nonsense lines they've likely read from countless others online without really thinking about their meaning, which is where a lot of the problems lie. It's best to confront these people directly when challenged; what exactly does she mean by patriarchy? How has it damaged/oppressed women exactly? Compared to what other point in history have women had it worse than they do now, courtesy of this alleged anti-feminine "patriarchy" that has been running u…

It's a fad. Hopefully in a few years people will regain their senses and we can all start being civil to one another again. The alternative being, of course, that this dangerously oppressive fringe delusion disguised as a progressive social movement finally reaches peak crazy and we all kill each other, which is, unfortunately, where it's currently heading.

Use Duckduckgo. Not as good, but you can use it for just about everything and only switch to Google when you absolutely have to. I switched years ago and don't have a problem 95% of the time.

Because Men's Day is hate speech and part of the alt right movement and transphobic and also racist somehow, while Women's Day is all about candy and flowers and rainbows and how much people would be better off without a penis. Everyone knows that.

Eh, who cares what a bunch of twats on a specific subreddit think? They make up a small minority of dumb women, believe me. Pick and choose your battles. Stuff like this isn't worth engaging with.

The elevator bit is quite ridiculous. If there are women that actually expect this kind of behavior from men when they're on an elevator alone, they're in for a rude awakening. I'd never heard of it until this post, actually, so maybe this woman is the exception and just completely bonkers, like many who tweet such idiotic nonsense. Her last point is also funny, as though all men are built equally and share the same temperament, and are thus responsible for policing other men at all times regard…

I used to sometimes ride my bike around a park on my way to and from places, especially on nice days. The park just happened to have a playground, which just so happened to occasionally have children playing in it. Every time I rode by, I would always get weird looks from parents. Every time. That being said, you shouldn't have left. You weren't doing anything wrong. It's a public park, and you have just as much right to it as anyone else.

You're covered by the First Amendment. Unless you were being a nuisance or disruptive or inciting violence or anything of that nature, they have absolutely no right to suspend you. I would raise hell. Also, this sounds like something that would happen on South Park. Who's your principal, PC Principal? Jeez.

A lot of admins become so because they get a kick out of bossing around or otherwise imposing their authority over people, things they likely don't get to do very much of in their actual lives. It's just wish fulfillment, like much of the internet.

This is the kind of shit that happens when women raise boys alone. Boys need men in their lives. Real men. Good men. Women are no substitute. Quite the opposite.

I rode my bike around a park in the middle of the day a few months ago and got weird looks from parents whenever I happened to ride near children, who, coincidentally, were everywhere and impossible to avoid getting within 10 feet of. Good thing they stared, too, as I totally would have grabbed one of them otherwise with a free arm, stuffed them into my backpack, and been on my way before anyone could stop me. My mistake for being male and wanting to enjoy what bit of nature my god forsaken city…

Please fill this out to file a complaint with the government. If you're willing to divulge your name, I would be more than happy to file an additional complaint on your behalf as well, as I'm sure others would. https://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/complaintintro.html Don't let this go. Since identity of any kind seems to be "fluid" these days, couldn't anyone put down anything they wanted on these things and just claim "ethnic fluidity" or whatever the hell if questioned, regardless of the actual race or nationality they happen to be? If being Hispanic or black or gay or transsexual is what's going to get you through the door at certain places these days, and since laws put in place specifically to prevent such discrimination aren't being enforced as they should, what else can…

I don't understand the logic this person and many like him use to justify bigotry against whites/males. He's using words and putting them in a sentence, and they sound convincing enough as patterns of written communication strung together to convey a thought, they just don't make sense to me on any rational level. I guess I have a hard time understanding anything past the phrase "you cannot be racist towards white people." Everything before that, a-okay, everything after, complete psuedo-intelle…

I know everywhere I've ever gone in my life before this whole Me Too thing, all anyone could ever talk or write about was how horrible women were and how amazing men are. Like, this was totally, 100% a thing, everywhere, throughout human history until just a few years ago. The thought of treating women respectfully or not raping them all the time or paying them equally never even crossed most people's minds, let alone other men's, the dimwits. I mean, who knew, right? So this is TOTALLY justifie…

Oh, your typo made me think you were for the idea of hiring black people or women solely because they're black or women, hence my sarcastic response. Your fixing it now just makes my comment sound inappropriate and insane. Bah!
/r/MensRights22/04/19 02:57 AM

That's right! In fact, the only people anyone should ever hire should be either black or a woman, regardless of qualification or merit, solely because of the very fact that they're either black or a woman! Double the points if they're both! And if you disagree, you're a scumbag racist sexist transphobic mansplaining prick bastard!

This woman is monstrous. In voice, appearance, personality, life philosophy, and, though I've never heard it and never intentionally will, I'm willing to bet artistically. Who cares what she says or thinks? She's clearly horrible. A caricature of a human being.

Most people don't think this way, because most people aren't insane. Only a vocal minority of lunatics are going against him, it just seems like there are more of them because social media has a tendency to legitimize and broadcast stupidity to other like-minded, approving idiots, which the media then picks up and regurgitates back to us as the new norm. This applies to most insane things lately, actually. But they're wrong, and Terry, coming from a place that seems genuine and loving and truly …

Many men, who happen to also be fathers, prefer women they have sex with to have big breasts. Does that mean they should force their daughters to get breast implants? Same logic being applied here. Brilliant, brilliant logic. Also, yuck. To say this woman is not fit to be having a child is an understatement.
/r/MensRights27/02/19 11:37 AM

Wait, that's actually a thing? Why would anyone shame a woman because she's unable to breastfeed? How unbelievably petty.
/r/MensRights09/02/19 09:13 AM

I guarantee you the only people who told that woman that her skin was repulsive and she looked like a reptile were other women. I have never known any man to ever mock a woman for having bad skin, or even notice unless it's significant to the point where it requires medical intervention, which most of the time, it isn't. Most "body shaming" is by women doing it to one another. Men are rarely, if ever, involved, and if they are, it's not because they're men, it's because they're pricks.

Never have dinner on a first date, particularly at an expensive restaurant. Always go for coffee, tea, pastry, etc. Not just because it's cheaper, but because if it doesn't work out, you're not stuck having a full hour plus meal with someone you don't like. Dating 101.

Here's one example of how it's affected us: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/22/us/verizon-throttling-california-fire-net-neutrality.html And that's just the beginning. It's a serious issue. I don't understand how anyone can be against Net Neutrality. It only benefits the internet companies. Supporting a ban on Net Neutrality is supporting self censorship and self oppression.

How is this legal? Isn't this a violation of the labor law? One step forward, two steps back here in CA. Well, at least we're trying to get Net Neutrality back.

It's a virus, especially among the younger generation, younger Millennials and below. Do mods tend to skew young? Is that why so much stupidity is being allowed in and things they disagree with are censored? God help us if this is the future. Self hatred, self-imposed fascism disguised as "social justice". They understand the principles, they just don't think they should apply to men accused of rape because men are inherently "evil" and "rapey" and the cause of all problems and suffering and misery in the world, even the stuff women do to other women that has nothing at all to do with men. Especially the latter stuff, actually.

I know you're kidding, but I find it ironic that at least some of the people who hired her, or will be responsible for her professionally i.e. her bosses, are more than likely white men. Truly the snake biting its own tail here. Not sure what the hell is going on with this culture lately, but it can't end well. Things have always kind of sucked, but the last few years have felt like someone really put their foot on the gas. Toward a cliff.

I think this is just a product of how one is raised. If a male authority figure raised his voice often and in anger throughout childhood, or the act was connected to violence of some kind, it's very likely the adult will fear a raised male voice. As a man, I fear raised male and female voices alike, and it's because I grew up in a violent, angry household where both genders were often yelling. So, once again, blaming men is wrong.

Nothing against gays, but there's an above average number of them in the media and they don't speak for the male heterosexual community. The only truly masculine shows I know of are stupid stuff like Dog the Bounty Hunter or Duck Dynasty, or sexist crap like The Man Show. Can't really think of any major show that features men just talking about stuff interesting and relatable to men ala The View, only, you know, watchable and intelligent. I worked for a major news show for many years and the onl…
/r/MensRights06/01/18 12:03 PM

I've always suspected that the reason why there's been an increase in strong anti-male pro-female bias in the media over the last few years is because, contrary to popular belief, most people working behind the scenes are either women or gay men, especially the latter. Media and the "creative arts" have always tended to attract a certain kind of person in my experience, and that person is rarely the rational, level-headed, "traditionally" heterosexual masculine type. It may have been 50 years ag…

My gf is in med school and she told me she's heard other female students complaining that one of her professors spent more time talking about the penis than the vagina "because he's sexist". My gf, who is not a crazed feminist nutcase, tells me the penis is simply a more complicated organ and actually requires more time and detail to explain, but these other women, soon to be doctors that may one day be responsible for ensuring your good health, mind you, are convinced it's yet another male cons…

Though I don't follow most of it, one of the laws described in the 48 Laws of Power always stuck out to me, and I've taught myself to follow it as best I can: Law 38, which says, "Think as you like but behave like others." Think whatever you want, but when asked publicly, go with majority opinion, otherwise you risk ridicule and punishment, not to mention an incredible waste of time and energy. Instead of arguing and defending in circles, as can often happen when disagreeing with the majority, o…

I completely agree with this. Not all "super attractive" women are ignored by men, quite the opposite actually depending on the scene and, like you said, their self perception. Many very attractive women fit the stereotypes often associated with them: stuck up, shallow, and not easily impressed. If you don't meet her standards right away, whatever those may be, she can always move on to the next guy. And as long as she looks the way she does, there will always be a next guy. This isn't saying al…
