Sorry for the late reply ... yes, I get child support but thanks to Florida law it’s hardly enough.

She is still living in it but bought me out. We split mutual property 50/50.

I divorced an OBGYN (she filed) and I was a stay at home dad. She took over the finances and cut me off. I forced her to provide $$ for an attorney. You want a “men’s divorce” attorney. They are everywhere, marketing to men. Research your attorney online. You don’t need to pay a consultation to find out basic background. Use the internet. My case was in Florida. We ended up with 50/50 custody and her paying me not nearly enough child support. Is what it is.

Consider yourself fortunate you did not have kids. Divorce is hard, but it can be torture with children involved. It sounds like maybe at least you’re parting on OK terms and you both understand each other and are communicating. As for the scarlet letter, consider it a blessing. Anyone who is spooked by that to the point of ending or avoiding a relationship with you is doing you a favor. You don’t want someone like that as a life partner. True love ignores such trifles. 👍

Did you seriously just recommend prostitutes?

Divorced twice, kids in both marriages. I highly recommend putting the kid first, far ahead of either you or your ex. Do the thing that will do the least harm to them. That could mean accepting the situation and trying to make it work (following a strict protocol) rather than trying to cut mom out, creating a mess that could hurt your child. Your child likely will blame you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
