I see. Two recommendations then. Firstly, read 'No more Mr. Nice guy'. Helped me personally in dealing with my personal issues with my Mother growing up, who took out her post partum on me. Secondly, you're problem is a lack of female friends in your life and are uncomfortable with women. That isn't the same as being sexist. Unless you have conscious thoughts of hating/denigrating women, please don't consider yourself as one. It is counterproductive at best and will set you back immensely at wor…

Feel free to correct me if I'm off base, but it sounds like a catch-22. You don't have female friends, so you prefer to talk to men. Because you don't often talk to women, you feel uncomfortable around them and thus, do not have any female friends. If so, this isn't really sexism. In addition, it is generally acceptable for men to date down, whereas women are more constrained by their biological age and physical appearance 2) It is equally hard for men and women to find love/someone truly compatible with them. Slowly place your hand over hers and see if you can guide her hand further down your thigh. If she goes along, then you'll know.

Why would you want to date someone with an avoidant attachment style though? If you have to pretend to be someone you're not, especially if you are someone who needs intimacy, wouldn't this cause you more grief in the long-run? Rather than waste your time, better to look for someone more securely attached and interested in you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
