1	I'm glad more people agreed with me than with the replies. these statistics aren't complete, they're based on a handful of studies from COLLEGES, in which the police there deemed the accusations false. im just saying we need more actual evidence here that isn't anecdotal. one in fifty is a small number when you're talking about something this serious. wouldn't you rather somebody report a crime that didn't happen than not report a crime that did? there are repercussions for illegal reporting that should be upheld.	/r/MensRights	19/05/17 02:26 PM

Realistically, I can't see anybody being turned immediately away- but you gotta acknowledge that these are limited resources. Most foundations run on volunteer work and tight hours. "the lifetime prevalence of rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner was 43.8 percent for lesbians, 61.1 percent for bisexual women, and 35 percent for heterosexual women" Even ignoring that this is data collected from one singular study, an 8% difference can have so many other negating factors that the fact people keep quoting these statistics is ridiculous... please stop. 1	Men can't call domestic abuse helpline. While I agree this is weird and upsetting, we shouldn't be demanding women NOT use and maintain these exclusive services, we should be creating and supporting services geared towards men. I'm sure y'all can admit that different people have different experiences that TEND to lie demographically- women's domestic abuse centers are for the care of women, and we should be developing men's domestic abuse centers that are designed to care for men.
