Aside from the color map issue, I'm really curious how this correlates to violence rates in general. We hear about violence in Africa and the Middle East all the time, and look where the circumcision rates are prominent. Look where circumcision isn't prominent and they seem generally clueless as to the violence in other parts of the world. Perhaps if men weren't systemically mutilated from birth, they might reach peaceful adulthood?

I think we, as a sub, generally fail to frame the issue, as sites like Reddit and Wikipedia are global, yet Mens Rights is really only an issue in more civilized countries. For the case of Syria, it's probably just bad to be alive regardless of who you are. And yes, I'm skeptical on many of these lists as well. There was another one I found where the US was ranked 10th worst, but they admitted that was due to all the #MeToo tweets, not any critical analysis of laws/trends/whatever.

There's a comedian that has a good bit about this. Think it was Chris Rock on OJ Simpson. "If you've got 30 million and your wife gets half, you still have 15 million. there's an implied tolerance of +/- 1 on the first digit. With 1/2, that tolerance turns into the spectrum of possibility.
