| 1 | Want an excellent example of holding frame? Watch the show House of Cards. Frank Underwood is a master.Yes, there's some exaggeration in the scenarios for sure, but there's no denying that he is positively in command of everyone he comes in contact with. He doesn't let anything (or anyone) phase him and he never succumbs to weakness. He gets what he wants through calculated action and holding frame. | /r/TheRedPill | 07/01/15 09:14 PM |
| 0 | I couldn't believe it. First TRP example for me that made me believe. No, you're right. But it's included in my own philosophy. And I feel like you should be able to take away what is useful to you, individually, from TRP, and I guess this is just one aspect of things that doesn't fit into my own way of seeing things. I don't think it should be "all or nothing" when it comes to which ideas you subscribe to here. I just want to advocate anyone who may feel similarly to me. We should be able to discuss different opinions here. | /r/TheRedPill | 11/09/14 01:41 PM |
| 2 | I couldn't believe it. First TRP example for me that made me believe.Because some of the things discussed here are valuable to strengthening one's interaction with women and holding more power in various aspects of social interactions. Stuff like this, however, is just not something I could justify to myself as being acceptable. I'm not so desperate to get laid that I am going to fuck another guy's girlfriend and ruin their relationship. It's called karma, man. That shit will come back to you. | /r/TheRedPill | 10/09/14 08:57 PM |
| -1 | I couldn't believe it. First TRP example for me that made me believe.Ok. But if OP accepts, that's the difference. He is now making himself part of the problem. At least if he didn't, he could know that he did something right. Jesus, there is something wrong with all of you guys. | /r/TheRedPill | 10/09/14 07:52 PM |
| -1 | I couldn't believe it. First TRP example for me that made me believe.Yes. He did. He allowed it to happen, him, not anybody else. | /r/TheRedPill | 10/09/14 06:58 PM |
| 0 | I couldn't believe it. First TRP example for me that made me believe.Yes, actually fucking her is clearly worse! I'd rather open some poor guy's eyes and help him out, and show him there are still decent people in the world, than being a cog in the act of fucking a person's life up, just for a couple of lays with some slut. I get the feeling I am the minority on this matter here, though. | /r/TheRedPill | 10/09/14 06:43 PM |
| -2 | I couldn't believe it. First TRP example for me that made me believe.I get what you mean. I just don't think it's right to sit around high-fiving each other because some dude is about to ruin some other dudes life to get his dick wet. Why not just take the guy aside and tell him his girl propositioned him for sex and advise that he dump her ASAP. I'd never be so desperate for sex that I fuck someone else over as a means to the end. | /r/TheRedPill | 10/09/14 06:06 PM |
| -2 | I couldn't believe it. First TRP example for me that made me believe.I don't see how ruining other people's lives improves your own game. Respect and honor can still be things, while being a confident, successful man who gets laid. Everybody in this thread sounds like a scumbag. | /r/TheRedPill | 10/09/14 04:05 PM |
| -6 | I couldn't believe it. First TRP example for me that made me believe. So, Red Pill Theory includes fucking peoples SO behind their back? Maybe I am the only person in this thread with a conscience. | /r/TheRedPill | 10/09/14 02:52 PM |
| 2 | Are you really improving - or just treading water? The permanent disadvantages I mentioned-- that kind of stuff is objective. They are indisputable and observable facts, not things that are open to interpretation. Some guys are shorter. Some guys are uglier. They just have to play that hand and understand the odds are worse for them no matter how much they compensate. Those are facts and it doesn't matter what you think. This isn't "mental masturbation," it's analyzing things without being so insecure that you have to build up a macho-bullshit a… | /r/TheRedPill | 09/09/14 08:06 PM |
| 3 | Are you really improving - or just treading water?I agree, and that's pretty much what I'm saying. Don't feel sorry for yourself, always be confident, and play up all your strengths as much as possible. The only caveat is don't convince yourself that you're the absolute top-of-the-heap as OP suggested if you are clearly not, because, objectively, there is someone better. Having an attitude of delusional grandeur can work against you. Acceptance is part of confidence. | /r/TheRedPill | 09/09/14 01:11 PM |
| 13 | Are you really improving - or just treading water?Exactly. A lot of people here don't consider that no matter how much some guys succeed in improving malleable aspects about themselves, there are some things that are a permanent disadvantage for them (like short stature, or skin problems, or bad teeth, or male pattern baldness, etc). You can definitely compensate for those types of things in other areas, and be as confident as humanly possible, but they are still things at face value that a lot of girls will instantly reject a person for. When … | /r/TheRedPill | 09/09/14 03:14 AM |
