To pick a nit, that's not what it says. It says that there has not been any evidence that it can spread in a chlorinated pool, not that it has been proven to not spread. Subtle but important distinction. "There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19."

Very well stated, and I agree completely. A "mental health" defense, if legitimate, should result in a different kind of sentence (treatment, etc), not acquittal.

The article said she was bi-polar. As someone who was married to someone who was schitzo-affective and bi-polar for 7 years, I can tell you it's some serious shit. It's not just an excuse to act like a cunt. Of course, I'm assuming that the article is correct. If she was, I have genuine sympathy for her... if she wasn't, I don't.

I think they're saying that because of her mental health issues. If that's the case, then while she shouldn't have been charged, she should be put into care or something similar to treat her problems. It's not just a "free pass" for wrong behaviour. EDIT: To be clear, as per my post below, she should still be charged, but she may not be convicted due to the illness.
