What’s not encouraging... Okay, you can stop repeating this, this is spamming this comment section and making it hard to read. That 80% of divorces and resulting custody 'arrangements' are initiated by women... I already replied to this, read again. Because the courts tell them to go away And men aren't able to stand up for themselves and their beliefs (just like the women apparently do in these cases) and take it to court?

Also massive difference between 'not having sex with' and 'withholding sex' - one is a personal choice the other is manipulative. Would you mind explaining this a bit further?

Good luck with that lol I had all the luck I needed back then. My girlfriend is neither unattractive nor uninteresting. And she didn't pick me for my money or my intelligence because I could be doing a lot better on those ends haha

Interesting quotes, there is a lot to debate on. But at the same time it's nothing but debates. There is no hard evidence but just opinions.

when sexual assault happens to men people don’t take it as seriously as they do when it’s a woman I understood your reply exactly like this. And I strongly disagree. People don't give a shit about harassment to either gender. The usual reply to both is "don't be so sensitive".

or maybe it is how happy those old feminist hags are? Lol statistically women in their 30s are the happiest unmarried and without children. For us men it's the opposite. But that aside. is it how divorce rates have dropped over the past century as the age of marriage has increased? It's not that people who get married later are the people who get more divorces. It's people are not as dependant on marriage anymore. Women are able to have banks accounts on their own, have their own job, financial …

Women always look for a man who is taller, richer, smarter than them. As I said. And I always looked for the most attractive, most interesting girls in clubs. It's exactly the same.

You have to ask if those men want child custody. In just over half of child-custody battles, the parents come to a mutual agreement for the mother to be the child(ren)’s custodial parent. 29% of these decisions were made without a mediator or the court, 11% required a mediator, 5% of the decisions were determined after a thorough custody evaluation, and 4% were settled in court. Parents settle over 90% of Child Custody cases outside of court. source

You should read my other comment, people need meaningful connection, physical contact etc. Cheating in a marriage is always looked down upon. And who knows if you can get those things in an arranged marriage. You could end up with someone you don't find attractive, someone abusive or an asexual person

20 year odls are legally adult, but factually still in puberty. The brain and body keep developing until 25. The 20s are a crucial time in terms of deldloping your personality. For both men and women.

If both parties spend the same amount of time with their kids, then "women kill more children" is correct all by itself. If we're living in the 50s, the father works from 9-5 and goes to the bar straight after work, so he sees his kid once a week while the mother stays at home and takes care of the kid 24/7, that definitely has an impact on how valid that conclusion ('women kill more children') is. He never has any chance to spend time with the kid and all the emotions he has, he has to let out …

It seems to be useful to stabilize and connect families, preserve social and economic order and religious values within a society Yeah, I guess that's true. But the chances of you ending up in a marriage with someone you'll never love are very high. And love and partnership are far too important to be completely ignored for the sake of religious values and social/economic order. People will always revolt against that because humans need meaningful connection.

Um yes, I enjoy being able to decide who I'm with and when (if) I get married. I'd rather live alone than live in an arranged marriage with a horrible, maybe even abusive person. What do you think would improve?

What about in cultures with arranged marriages? The parents would be the ones setting parameters. That's horrible and should stop overall, don't you think?

This is the most obvious, in terms of visibility and its overall dysfunction, in the African American community. I'm not going to reply to this part because I don't know a single thing about the African American community. The top tier men will SLEEP with average women, maybe have children with them, but not marry them or commit to them long term. Though I have to ask, having children with someone is not a long term commitment?

'never settle' ideology That's one thing I have already experienced in my home country. Women are less likely to get married young or get married at all. lack of anyone level setting women on where they measure up in dating I don't think this would even change anything. People will always try to date the most attractive people they can find, everyone does. Even if you think you're average looking, you'd still happily date a hot person wouldn't you? This sub is filled with "muh, men have it worse" posts. I don't plan on advocating for women. I want a subreddit for men's rights and this subreddit isn't about men's rights. It's not a case of if I believe it, it's a fact. Source? Nowadays, women also want the man to have some level of social status. And what's wrong about that? Don't you want the best possible partner for yourself as well?

If it were a man touching a woman like that, people would loose their shit over it. Just fyi, this happens all the time and people don't give a shit. There's a compilation you can easily find on YouTube of young female celebrities getting harrased by interviewers. They think it's that normal that they can easily show it on TV. Yes, it is horrible to be touched without permission. But no, women don't have it 'easier'.

the few shelters that were to be built were literally dismantled by women. Have you ever seen a women's shelter? Same story. They need huge fences, some even walls around them. remember when you saw some big company publicly celebrating men's day I do remember, people do that in my home country. Women get a line up of offers; sure they may have had offers but they have choices and are in control. I hear this argument all the time. The population is almost exactly 50% women, 50% men. How does that math work? Do you assume women stopped dating and therefore there are more men per woman?

When you marry a younger woman you are getting a woman who believes in marriage. When you marry a woman your age you are getting a woman whose biological clock is making her want it now. How about "When you marry a 20 year old you are marrying a woman who is too young to make a decision for the rest of her life. When you marry an older woman you are marrying a woman who knows exactly what she wants in life and still chose you."

a man is much more likely to want to keep his wife happy and the marriage together because of the financial hit he's going to take in divorce court. How romantic. I'd want to get divorced as well if the reason my spouse decided to stay with me was because of money.

That would be claiming a man had to work [...] No, you're talking about a singular person having something stolen. In research there is a small amount of the entire population who voluntarily take part in it. All parties benefit from this, even the people taking part, because afterwards they can also use the results of said research for their own benefit.

Where does the doctor get their information on women? Exactly, he learns all the information available. But for decades there was barely any research on women. Most research was made on men and people just applied the same principles to women, which doesn't work. Google about the discovery of the clitoris. This wasn't properly researched until 16 years ago. Times are changing thankfully. There is more and more research on all genders.
/r/MensRights21/12/21 09:46 AM

Ah,so men don't get abused? Well taken out of context. My comment wasn't about men's need for shelter. It was about whether or not women's shelter are protection. You asked about shelters. People have known for decades that there is a lot of domestic abuse happening. The reaction to that are shelters. It doesn't prevent domestic abuse though, so it doesn't protect people. It's just a reaction once it already happened. We definitely need more men's shelters. But even that is not protection either…

every drug and pharmaceutical agency Data doesn't work this black and white. But if you're really this interested in this topic go do your research on it. You should better not believe the research I send you because I could only send you a few articles out of the huge amount of data online. Any research is biased and you will not support the evidence I find in this huge pool of information. You should find and verify it yourself.

You've quite clearly admitted that you would sooner project your problems onto others dishonestly Maybe, just maybe I read your reply and it seemed to me that you didn't understand my comment. So I came to the first conclusion I had at hand: reddit is international and you could possibly be a non-native speaker or it's the middle of the night for you. Or both. Like it is for me. But you're right, this conversation is exhausting.

only for men and never for women You'll never find data this black and white. But this tendency has been proven. Thankfully times are changing today. If women were [...] I doubt you'd be saying [...] 'If it was the other gender'-discussions make no sense because there are far more things to put into consideration. You can never look at one fact in a society all by itself.

Men take the medication that has been researched on a small amount of people comparable to them. Women take any amount of medication in hopes that it would work because it has been researched on a group of people not really comparable to them. Sounds more like women are the disposable part in this.
/r/MensRights20/12/21 09:53 PM

I fully agree that more women should be used as guinea pigs in labs and sacrifice the way that men have. Great, then we agree. Until this happens, men are privileged because they can rely on the data that already exists.
/r/MensRights20/12/21 09:45 PM

I just did. And it didn't work. It's hundreds of years of Christianity and other religions teaching people about purity culture. Which in many cases applies to women only, in some cases to both men and women. Go on trying to deny the religious upbringing of dozens of generations before us. Good for you to live in such a supportive bubble though.

You can,for starters, consult your doctor on it. Though , they should already know the stuff they give provided they are competent. There is only data on how much medication the average man needs. Where does the doctor get their information on women? And the pill is already mass produced. How do they decrease the pill they want to prescribe then?
/r/MensRights20/12/21 09:21 PM

Hmm, IDK, because they actually have domestic assault shelters and shit? That's because a lot of women already experience domestic abuse and need shelter. Tell me where they are actually protected from bad things.

No, I don't think leaving women out of a test group proves the point that men are the expendable sex. We're talking about small amounts of people to protect big amounts of people afterwards. It would make sense if it was the other way around, if it was most research on women because they are not expendable. Instead, now we have loads of medication where we have no data and pretty much no clear idea of how they work in women. But we still prescribe them and just hope and assume they work the same…

There are plenty of women who have the body dimensions the seats are designed for and there are plenty of men who struggle with things being too big. I'm talking about average height and weight. I can scoot the seat forward, the seat belt is adjustable Great that you can do that. Many newer cars are updated and have these extras. Older cars still don't. Which makes it a privilege. That's what they teach in my country every time you do a first aid course. The symptoms do vary between genders. But the ones what are shown in the media, with people holding their arms in agony when they have a heart attack, are typically male symptoms. In many different situations this leads to women underestimating and misunderstanding their symptoms.
/r/MensRights20/12/21 04:42 PM

You think using women as guinea pigs moremeans men lose a privilege? What do you mean by this? I'm trans and I receive way more acceptance for hypersexuality as a woman. What about women being sluts and loose and no marriage material and all that. And men are celebrated for having sex with lots of different women. Just recently in this subreddit I had a bunch of men trying to tell me exactly this, that women lose their worth when they have sex with lots of men.

You get a recommendation for the pill intake when you get them, like they'll tell you to have one with every meal or one daily. How do you decrease 1 pill? How do you decrease the danger of seat belts that are too high? How are women more protected?

Men are the default. Medicine dosages are for the average man, car seats for average male height and weight, even well-known symptoms of diseases like arm pain with heart attacks is what concerns men, women have pain in their teeth but barely anyone knows about this or teaches it. Societal attidutes towards sexual promiscuity, I don't think I need to explain this one. Just a few ones I could think of at the top of my head. Google it to find more examples.

? The hell is wrong with you? I already explained why I don't watch videos of selfproclaimed YouTube-scientists. That won't change with their point of view. Calm the fuck down and stop putting words into my mouth.

Yeah read that again. I said there's a lot to it. It's a big deal.

About 10 yrs older. I'm not going to reply to your comment because it contradicts my beliefs so much, there's no point in arguing. My guess is you're surrounded by people who think the way you're describing it here. But I don't feel like you're actually convinced. Contrary, you actually seem intelligent and able to reflect your own behaviour. But it's hard to go a against what everyone around you says. Please try to go out a bit and meet new, interesting people. And maybe try to rewire some of t…

None of us would have wanted that. None of us would have wanted kids with random hookups or sex tapes. Seriously, this is in your head. Not in mine.

Hahaha are you trying to offend me on purpose? We have a traditional, monogamous relationship. We've had this for years now. But we were both hoes before this. And that's easily possible. People can be more nuanced than what you're describing there. Also, sperm gets worse with age as well the number of eggs is the highest at the girls birth, they continually become less from the day girls are born. Making a woman's worth dependant on her eggs is very problematic who on earth wants to settle down…

I bet my gf would prefer me without kids with random women and without a sextape as well. How is that a women's problem

Why would I have sex with someone I don't find attractive? Who does that seriously? I get taking someone home you don't think is the most beautiful person in the room. But someone you don't think is attractive? I'd rather go home and masturbate instead. I still don't get how the numbers are supposed to match up. Women hook up less and if they do so, they pick only certain men. Men hook up with anyone they can get. Who are the men hooking up with then? Are men constantly horny and women want to h…

I feel sorry for people who actually think this way. Just imagine how many lovely people you're missing out on just because they enjoyed having sex 10 yrs ago and there's some fucked up prejudice you can't get out of your head.
/r/MensRights09/12/21 08:16 PM

Nah, I dislike this double standard even though it would benefit me. And does that mean I didn't get to choose who I hooked up with? That I had to take what I could get? A bit insulting tbh. And no, I'm not conventionally attractive. Mediocre at best. I'd say it was because I actually enjoy talking to women and they enjoy talking to me. We always had a great time partying and one thing lead to another. Just how it should be.

Yeah, as I said. It was horrible and I think the more people are able to and brave enough to actually speak up, the better. Both genders. May I ask how long ago this was?
/r/MensRights09/12/21 08:10 PM

So it has to be the same amount of people of both genders. This is kind of contradicting itself. Woman are bad because they barely ever want to randomly hook up and if they do, they pick the ones they like best. But they're also bad if they do hook up a lot.

Who are the girls taking home then?
/r/MensRights09/12/21 07:53 PM

If you think a lifestyle lessens the worth of a person that's your opinion. I'm glad I'm free of this kind of thinking. I couldn't care less about her past. If anything I'm glad she's comfortable with her sexuality. By that example, who are the girls taking home then? If we assume most of the people in clubs are hetero, it should be an equal amount of men and women taking eachother home shouldn't it?
/r/MensRights09/12/21 07:38 PM

Also, the more headline-y your videos are, the more viewers you get. Views and comments of any kind, positive and negative, push the videos. YouTubers get rewarded with views and comments on controversial videos. This makes it very hard to find trustworthy YouTubers.

No, I'm saying any data research is biased. You always search for certain topics. And you can never include everything. But if you rely on other people searching for data you never know what data they decided to leave out. I'd rather research for myself, that way I know what exactly I'm looking at and what data there is or isn't.
/r/MensRights09/12/21 07:04 PM

Tbh what you've just described used to be my mindset and it worked out just fine hahahah. I had some wild years at uni. In my last year at uni I met the woman I'm still with today. She's perfect and I don't see why I wouldn't deserve her if I was an easy catch before. Or do you think I should think less of her if she was a hoe before she met me? Then that would be quite a double standard because I know she doesn't do that to me.
/r/MensRights09/12/21 06:59 PM

Nah I'm good. I learned a bit about how to read studies and about societal issues at uni and don't need some YouTuber to show me their biased data research.

There are many examples for the opposite as well, like Chris brown, Trump, R Kelly, Louis CK, Woody Allen, Bill Cosby, Roman Polanski. They all got accused of different things, sometimes with evidence like for Chris Brown, but their careers are nowhere near over. Also let me repeat, the fuck is wrong with the US, if any of my friends spoke like that I would be seriously concerned. I think this is very biased. Being falsely accused of rape is so horrible that far more men are scared of this and m…

I guess I agree with you on that, there's some serious stigma and sexism about rape towards men. But I still have a feeling that the fear of being falsely accused of rape leads to the topic being far more present than it actually is. There's a lot to a rape accusation for both parties, once you've said it out loud there's no easy way out. In the Netflix show umbelievable they show a girl who appears to have falsely accused someone of rape. I was quite shocked to see it tbh, she's going through h…

But that's possible both ways around? Even then, without evidence the cases are dismissed. And for rape you barely ever have evidence, even if it actually happened. Also what's wrong in the US, you act like that's a thing that happens regularly.

When my parents got married you couldn't even accuse your spouse of rape because the law said that it just didn't exist. That's for both genders of course. Now you're able to sue your spouse for rape, which leads to more reported cases. Do you really think that's a bad thing?

What about it
/r/MensRights09/12/21 06:08 PM

The reason there are more male bosses is in the past women weren't allowed to go to school, work without their husband's permission, weren't able to have a bank account without permission etc. Besides that there were and are the societal expectations on women to have kids and be a housewive while the husband works. Times are changing but remember that those bosses you're speaking of are 50+ yrs old. Times were different back when they graduated and decided on careers.

It may be unfair and feel like it's mean, but it's the mods free decision to do so. Every single ban is based on interpretation. It just means the mod who banned them saw something there that you don't. Your reality is not everyone's reality.
/r/MensRights09/12/21 01:57 PM

I never said it's sexist? But sure, go from cropping to even re-wording quotes haha I said it's controversial. People will interpret that the way they want to. Because there is a lot of room for interpretation. How is that not obvious?

Lol cite the whole sentence. The part after that is a lot more controversial, but sure, change the quote so it fits your narrative.

You're contradicting yourself. Brain death is legal death. Biological death simply means no blood flow, no oxygen and therefore a rotting corpse. Right after conception it's the exact same situation. No brain waves, therefore no consciousness, no pain, no chance to live without life support (machines or womb). Once that changes, once there are brain waves, a chance of consciousness or pain a person wouldn't be legally dead. That's at around 24 weeks of pregnancy.
/r/MensRights09/12/21 10:23 AM

If you keep the machines on, the brain dead person will have as much of a life as a fetus in the womb. And you'll never know what kinds of problems a fetus has until they actually appear. We hope the fetus will grow. Nobody can guarantee that.
/r/MensRights09/12/21 01:50 AM

A brain dead person can still have a heartbeat, like a fetus does. They're really quite similar. But okay, let's roll with that logic. The fetus is a person. Imagine you had the chance to donate your blood to save someone's life. And you're the only person who's able to. Even then, nobody could force you to give away your blood. Similarly, the fetus is dependent on the uterus and the pregnant woman to carry it. Without that woman the fetus isn't able to live. How would you then justify a ban on …

I'm not a native speaker but isn't plan b also reactive? It's a one time pill you can take I think up to 3 days after having unprotected sex I think many more choose to do this because pregnancy is traumatic. Morning sickness, weight gain, hormonal changes and therefore mood changes and the trauma it causes to the uterus. Why would someone actively choose that. At least in my country you can get plan b at the pharmacy no questions asked. It's around 30$. Abortions take time, appointments, conver…
/r/MensRights09/12/21 12:49 AM

Let me word that differently. We say a person is dead once we are not able to measure brain waves anymore. That's when organs are donated etc. So life should start at the moment where brain waves are measured for the first time, right? It's a person with brain waves vs a fetus without brain waves.
/r/MensRights09/12/21 12:40 AM
3

I have a feeling that in the cases where women have the chance to, they choose plan b in stead of an abortion. I mean it's a lot faster after all and doesn't affect the body at all in many cases. What makes you think otherwise?
/r/MensRights09/12/21 12:28 AM

Meh, it's years of life experience and learning vs a clump of cells. Once there are brain waves in the fetus, I might understand your opinion on that matter. But that's the point at which abortions are banned anyway. You'd rather trust your experience in the tiny bubble you're living in than searching for a trustworthy study? Or maybe make an actual study with a reasonable randomized sample size yourself.

Fucking hell what kind of people are you around? "I've met xy and haven't met z" is also a shit source.
