That makes economic sense, I just don't think many of us actually think about it when deciding which women to get into relationships with. It would probably be wiser to give it more weight than we do. And yes I do make six figures although after paying my ex-wife (who was in fact a stay-at-home mother) every month it's effectively five. So maybe it's just me.

Damn. I'm still friends with a couple of them on FB, and the Wall happens to have been fairly kind to them, so when I see pics of them with their husbands and kids, they still look pretty good. When I've spent time working in silicon valley, you see a surprising amount of south asian women with guys of other races. And vice versa. But everywhere else in the country, I've only ever seen Indian girls with Indian guys. They also seem to marry younger whan white people of the same education level; when you work in software there are always Indian women in your team or near it, if not as engineers then QA or something. They are almost always married even if they are still pretty young.

"Gen X" (people born in the 1960s and 1970s) were mostly able to get jobs either in the initial tech boom of the 90s or recovery after the "dot-com bust'. I was born in 1975 and by 2007-2008 when the shtf for real, I had managed to afford a pretty nice house and had enough work experience to not have to worry about finding a job even in a bad economy. It is the next group, "Gen Y", who had not managed to get financially stable before the consequences of everyone's behavior came home to roost.

The question assumes that money is much bigger deal than it actually is. Everyone knows at least one Natural who couldn't finish college, works low-paying jobs if employed at all, doesn't actually have his own place to live.. but he makes up for it with game. He is probably also fit. That guy would like to have more money, sure, but he doesn't need it to reliably get 6-7 girls at worst.
