Also possible that she just didn’t like you or didn’t see it as a potentially romantic interaction. I don’t know the context, but based on my experience I think most people are trying to find a partner they like and get along well with. Not everything is a test.

Why do people keep tying sex to self-worth in this way? If you find someone you want to have sex with and they want to have sex with you, too, isn’t that a good thing? My only problem would be if the choice were unduly influenced by something else, like coercion, pressure, severely low self-esteem, etc. (although that might be a separate conversation, unless that’s what you mean)
