This lady is an idiot. I dated an architect for awhile. She would hear women complain that the line was longer while using the bathroom. Some women would say that the women's restroom should be built larger than it is. She would tell them that she was an architect and that in most modern buildings the women's restroom IS bigger. Stop having sex is the only fool proof method. The other is installing a camera in the bedroom and signing a waiver proving consent. Under the "yes means yes" law, neither of these are fool proof. "He pressured me to kiss him in the library" would also get you kicked out of school. Also, you do not have to have sex to be accused of rape. No sex (apparently- according to several articles) occurred in UA-V case, an accusation of rape was still made.

The analogy breaks down. We're expected to compete in exams; it is a moral action to "win" at exams. We are not expected to hit one another; it is an immoral action to hit another person. A better question would be if we treat women differently (ie, exposure to violence is treated differently), should women be allowed to continue to fight in the military? I really hope that he wins. Debtors prison was supposed to have been eliminated many years ago; it is alive and well in the United States. Furthermore, federal law was created specifically to protect those that have served their country, and it is now being ignored by the states. I'm going to guess that their "survey" did not include those that were incarcerated. This is not unusual. It is also true that women of history had little resources by which to contribute in a positive way. As a result, men did indeed make most positive and negative contributions to society. I think that people have missed the most important outcome of this bill. If two people have sex and don't discuss it beforehand, they would both be classified as rapists. Neither party has received a "yes", therefore under the law both of them would have to be classified as having raped. It is surprising to me that people have actually started to put together this bill, but haven't even questioned this outcome.
