It's always good when a guy puts forth some thought to examine the world and culture around him. Are your 4 categories based on some other works, or your own thoughts? I'm wondering if maybe there are more than 4 things that matter in society. If they're based on some other work that I've missed, I'd like to read up on it.

Agreed. A depressed person can suck the life out of you if he/she is simply spreading the depression and not trying to get better.

This is a good post. I think it's good to get some positive, actionable stuff out there for guys. OTOH, sometimes it's really hard to be rid of the toxic people, especially the ones lower than you. They tend to want to cling, and will shame you for wanting to leave them. Leave them anyway. We could make all sorts of categories of toxic people. Another might be the nit-picker. Nothing is ever good enough for the nit-picker. That person will take anything you do and try to improve on it because "y…

At that age I suspect there are very few organized physical activities for girls. I could be wrong. Kudos to them for doing something, even if it's less than optimal. And the parents who at least approved.

No, I don't have it because I refuse to accept what you're trying pass off. You can keep it. Then again, maybe it's just a simple disagreement of definition. Shame is actually a fairly violent emotional trauma. Compare this to, oh, I dunno, let's say an insult, which merely expresses our distaste for the other person's attribute. Do we shame men for not being man enough? I hope not, because shaming other men is far from being anything manly. But why do you feel the need to rigorously force your …

If a guy distrusts women enough to NOT act on IOIs, he probably shouldn't be trying to get laid, or even date them. For that matter, he should ask himself why he's only finding distrustful women where he is. Hint: look elsewhere for higher quality.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
