She hasn't been charged with a crime yet "yet" is the keyword here. If she simply made a stupid mistake and ran a red light (which has happened to me at times in all my years driving) then it may not be criminal. She may still face liability, and yes, perhaps even jail time. That is not up to either you or me to decide, but up to investigators and judges and juries. Either way, making a mistake (even a lethal one) doesn't automatically means that you should be arrested and tossed in a jail cell.

"accidentally murdering"? There is a contradiction if there ever was any.. She accidentally killed these children, correct. Murder is a whole different thing.
