Exactly this, I became suicidal during the first 2 years and then I realized that is exactly what she would want and that my daughter will grow up to see the truth one day. It is still hard and I am in therapy to deal with the betrayal and late ADHD diagnosis, but like the poster above says, fuck, it has to get better one day. For your kids.......................

They have to make you the villain to justify the victim story they’ve spun to everyone else. When the stories don’t line up, the aggressive tone comes out. Experiencing it myself

Everyone’s different. I’m almost 2 years in and still reeling, unfair to dump that fucking trauma on an innocent. 😇

Motherfucker! Going through similar. I’m very Zen in my normal life, but Frank Castle when it comes to my daughter. I hate these guys that weasel in on the kid, I don’t care about my ex, but you aren’t playing Dad to my kid.

Dude, 100 %. My masking drained me so much I didn’t have the energy or foresight to notice things. It fucking sucked, but being diagnosed now and focused on my daughter have both really helped. I hope you get through this and come out the other side stronger. 🙏

Not OP, but really appreciate this. Divorcing a covert narcissist. Love to OP too… This sucks. 🎄

Jesus, it’s like I wrote this. Quit drinking, started therapy and got into stoicism big time. Your advice is solid. Big love to all the good, divorced dads.

You are a fucking wordsmith, reading this made me smile. Currently divorcing a malignant narcissist and being a role model to my daughter. 🫡

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
