Hahahah, this is awesome. Whoever ends up partying with this guy should keep us updated in FRs with pics/videos.

Hey, any tips for isolation when out at a nightclub solo? Most people seem to just "go outside for a smoke," which is pretty much as easy as it gets. I don't smoke, though. I'm thinking of doing it anyway, then pulling a jokingly honest "just kidding! I don't actually smoke, I just wanted to get some alone time with you." From what I gather, most girls my age don't smoke, so I don't think I'd actually be letting anybody down. I might add that my favorite venue is an sizeable and incredibly loud …

This is magical. Every time I see a particularly attractive woman, it's like I'm blinded by this obnoxious light that covers up all the flaws that make her a normal human being..just like (gasp) everyone else. It's like that old analogy some guy made about how you don't send your level 5 Bulbasaur to take on Red's level 9 whatever, you gotta slay some level 3 Ratattas first and level up a bit. Basically, build your sexual confidence with women who aren't so scary and work your way up. Then you'l…

I like "aloof" the most. Sort of emotionally detached from the whole thing - just moving along at your own pace, not too caught up in anyone's matters except your own.

Great tips. Does the looking slightly above run the chance of looking like you rolling your eyes, though? I wear glasses sometimes so to usually do little breaks of eye contact I'll quickly take a moment while talking or listening to adjust them, then reestablish eye contact. I'm not really aware of what I do when I have contacts on; I think I default to looking to the side which I'll try to be more aware of now. Thanks for the fantastic post, mate!

I was reading an interview with Peter Dinklage in Rolling Stone. Unusually short guy because of a condition yet an incredibly famous actor. He said he had two choices when faced with his abnormal height: curl up in a corner and be depressed about it, or realize that it's something that can't be changed: something that IS him and accept it for all it is. I once read on Reddit somewhere that "if you wear your flaws like armor, then nothing can hurt you." One of my good pals who I met playing video…

Makes sense to me. No one really wants to be that dick who leads people they're not attracted to on. All dudes have been on the receiving end of that before, and I'm sure we all know how unpleasant being deliberately led on is. All it really says is you're a well-meaning dude, imo

Holy hell. Fuck yes. I'd tell you to let this man know that he's so awesome I want to dedicate a shrine to him, but I'm pretty sure he already knows how awesome he is. Thanks so much for sharing, this is by far some of the best advice I've ever heard. I tip my hat a thousand times to you and your fellow, my friends.

Dude, after READING this I realized I had this huge "Fuck yeah" face on. If I got that kind of reflexive reaction from reading this post, I can't even imagine how badass you must have felt/still feel. Props to you, man. Post more FRs as they happen for sure.

It's an honour to be in your presence. This would definitely be the foreword to the secret manual on how to find happiness in life.

I was pretty depressed last semester. After trudging through it, I looked back and realized that despite feeling powerless, there was plenty I could have done. My mindset of feeling powerless is actually what made me powerless. I never did things because I pissed away the days in a dimly-lit room playing Dota 2 with friends over the internet. Upon returning to school, I wanted to see what I could do if I didn't hole up in my room all day playing video games. Instead of thinking about doing thing…

Hahah, funny coincidence. I'm going to be getting contacts pretty soon, too. My glasses fall off all the god damn time and I've already broken at least two pairs by stepping on them in a blind stupor. I quit video games and fapping and started going to the gym on a regular basis a little under two weeks ago. My focus has been to be open, bold and at peace with myself. Feels good man.

Seduction isn't going to be able to help you here. Your problem far transcends the realm of seducing ladies. A cornerstone of seduction is self-improvement. You're in what sounds like a serious state of self-neglect, because you've convinced yourself that your self-worth is near absolute zero. Can you pull yourself out of this? Immerse in hobbies, start going to the gym again (if time's an issue, I have a great 3 day a week workout plan, takes less than an hour and a half), and do things that ma…

AFC Adam had a nice and simple way of easing into it. Like weight lifting, you know you have a goal to someday lift X heavy amount (pua: to be able to open and close hot sets). Throwing yourself into the lion's pit by trying to lift that amount without training first can end in disaster unless you're naturally strong (analogous to someone having "natural game" already). A safe way is to work out in smaller increments on the way up. Start by making casual conversation with store clerks and the li…

Good stuff! Sounds like your mates are good guys, trying to get you started on developing your game (though the stakes were pretty high, hahaha). See if they'll keep hooking you up with parties, or even better yet search them out on your own and show up to some and invite your pals. Keep 'em coming!

Don't focus on that "my emotions are falsified" feeling. That doesn't mean ignore it - that'll only magnify its effects and make you feel very separate from the crowd (example: don't think about pink elephants..guess what you end up doing? thinking about them even more). Acknowledge that feeling, and let it pass by directing your focus elsewhere. Maybe take in your surroundings: focus on the music for a second, or maybe the taste of your drink or anything else. The thought will slip away and fro…

Well done! Let us know how things keep progressing. Sounds like you're making great progress. The best part: you're not in any rush/hurry. Take it at your own pace as you have been, and I bet you're golden. cHEERS!

Best remedy? Trying and realizing that rejection >>>>>>>>>> not trying. Not trying = 100% chance of failure. Trying = A chance to succeed or fail. Which would you pick?

An exceptional demonstration of pure excellence! There is some really keystone information in here; you lay it out in a really clear and concise way that is, well, simply put: awesome. I hope to read more of your FRs in the coming weeks, months, whichever, my friend. Enjoy NZ (though I seriously doubt you needed me to tell you that). Cheers!

This is seriously uplifting. And fucking awesome. Post more FRs when you get the chance! I'm going to hit the bar scene soon, I just need to clear the OHGODWHYIDONTWANNAGOALONE hurdle. You did so in exceptional form and I hope to follow your example next weekend.

I'm actually kind of struggling with this myself. I think your reaction is pretty natural - I haven't ever really stopped anyone passing by, since they're very obviously heading in the other direction. If I'm walking abreast someone that I don't know though, a light playful tap on the shoulder followed by a "hey!" is all it takes. From that point, I usually make an observation about the environment (example: hurricane force winds today that practically blew me into oncoming traffic) and from the…

Here is my mission for you: Make a random stranger smile every day. Male, female, hot, not attractive, old, young..descriptions don't matter. It doesn't matter how you do it, either! A smile is a smile, and a universal gesture of a pleasant experience. Compliment someone who looks nice that you're passing by. Sometimes, even just a smile and a "hi" as you walk by someone can get a big smile in response. You don't even have to stop to talk; it's the approach itself that matters most. I set out to…

Great stuff, man. You should do an AMA sometime; I bet a lot of the people (myself included!) here would really appreciate your further input. These are some diamond tips. I'm saving, favoriting and probably printing this out so I can remind myself of it every time I walk out the door. Cheers!

A cool one that I'm going to try is at least once per day for the next 30 days, make a random stranger smile. Doesn't matter how you do it, as long as you make them smile. I think it'll be a great way to shoot down AA for good, rebuild my self-confidence and meet some cool people.

Great to hear, thank you for your response! I'll definitely try it sometime. It's easy to be comfortable and confident in my hometown, but I chose to attend school out of the country for the sole purpose of learning to conquer these kinds of personal demons by myself. Can't hide behind my friends' backs forever. Once again, thanks! I'll give it a try soon.

Well? How do you feel after two sustained months of it? Do you feel more confident in comparison to when you first started out? More importantly, what did your intentions appear to be (I understand that you internalize rejection as the 'goal', but your targets don't know that, so I'm curious as to what sort of persona you projected).
