To be clear, I don't think circumcision should be illegal. Your body, your choice. What should be illegal is INFANT circumcision. I.e. A kid not being able to consent to it. If that child becomes an adult and wants to have it done, more power to him. We don't stop women from getting surgery to their genitals, it shouldn't be illegal for men. Just infants lol

I mean, you assume just because a woman accuses you of rape you automatically go to jail. False accusations happen often, and it sucks when it does. But I have to assume that the justice system isn’t so flawed that every accusation = jail. False accusations of rape < rape. To say they're equal is a disservice to be honest. But both are unequivocally fucking awful. We live in a reaction culture where it's easy to falsely accuse someone to ruin their lives, with little to no consequences - which is dog shit. But rape is a far worse crime, psychology-wise and physical wise. We shouldn't punish them equally, but we should actually punish those who come forward with proven false accusations. I literally just said that her words were vague enough that none of us actually knows what happened. I didn't take a stance. None of us were there and she gave one really vague side of the story. For you to interpret that and run with it is a disservice to men's rights. Bias means I say 'we should believe the woman and saying she was raped". My stance is ' we need more info'. We don’t know if the dude actually did rape her though. There are too few details. It’s possible she helped him back to the apartment then he forcibly had sex with her while he was drunk. She says ‘taking advantage’ but we don’t know if she means they had sex at least somewhat consentually or the dude legit forced himself on her. Just because someone is drunk it doesn’t mean they’re incapable of rape. IMO this isn’t clear cut badness

Ultimately, I don't have a problem with women needing 6 weeks of paid leave. Having a baby should be fully supported by the company you work for. I don't think anyone denies that it requires more effort by a woman to "have a baby" than the man. But, you can't have it both ways - give a man 2 weeks paid leave then somehow expect them to be a great father. 6 weeks is probably excessive, but 2 weeks is a joke.

Straight-up trying to pander to feminist audiences can alienate a lot of potential male viewers, as we saw recently with Ghostbusters. this is exactly why I dont think it will be successful. Its marketing towards "girl power" while sacrificing an actual, good cast. This might be a great cast, but if your only marketing move is "we have all women" its not exactly something to be excited about. Same concept with "charlies angels" with only guys - I completely doubt it would be successful at all.

This is an obvious solution to end instances of "withdrawn consent". I just think its a bit depressing. Also, this is not even close to foolproof - what if a woman was drunk while filling this out? Is this even evidence? Would this hold up in a court of law? I can't imagine how many women would laugh at someone who had to pull out an app like this while in the moment.
