I'll have to say wrestling or probably any fighting sport gives you at least three same rush. In wrestling we did long runs, but the rush I felt was on the mat. Now, when I do my other martial arts, sparring full contact gives me a rush like no other. It also gives me a certain confidence that I'm not sure I'd otherwise have.

I try to remember that everyone is the hero of their story. What you're feeling, what you've been through, what you think of them... basically means nothing unless you become a genuinely interesting character in their book. You may never become a main character, but everyone likes a good supporting cast. Edited a word.

Oh god no, at least in the part of Washington I'm in it's not. Power is so cheap, solar doesn't make sense even though we have 300+ days of Sun a year. It really depends on what you are looking for in a community. Like your job and similar. If you are really looking to move, pm me. I can talk a little about my area as an example of what's out there.

I agree. There are many metrics that would be better. I personally feel that one of the better ways is to see how folks react to servers and waitstaff. Selfishness, and rudeness comes out easily in this circumstance. Good point with the family like relationships.

Your situation sounds like a crappy hand delt to you, and it sounds like you are doing better at life than they are. It's not an absolute, nothing in life is, except that nothing in life is absolute. A person is in part who they come from, but also who they choose to be. OP is asking for tips. No matter what is said, something will piss someone off. It's not a perfect opinion, it's the internet.

They are people. They have insecurities, hopes, dreams, and fears just like you do. They want to be validated, found pretty, thought of as smart, and be respected. They deserve to be treated like you'd treat your mom (or should treat your mom), but don't get taken advantage of. If you invite them out to dinner, you pay, but you shouldn't become a second income for them, raining purses and shoes onto them. It's below you and should be beneath them, unless you are into those kind of chicks. You sh…

An addition to this is: In many ways, you marry your mother / father in law. They won't be a perfect copy, and sometimes they have made a conscious decision to NOT be like them, BUT... the foundation was still laid years before. How they treat their children, how they treat waitstaff, how they treat pretty much anybody. They learned that from their parents, just like you did. I don't know how to present this to my kids, but If I could be blunt, I'd tell them to meet the parents as soon as possib…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
