I find that it IS worthwhile sharing Red Pill truths. But context is everything. A friend just get divorce raped? Share Purple Pill 'Way of the Superior Man'. A female friend recite some bullshit about the wage gap, use a statistic to burst her bubble. Being sensitive to context and strategic with when, what and how you share is key and you're more likely to find receptiveness to RP. But for God's sake do not become a preacher.

Either you're never going to find someone to marry or you don't fully understand the concept of AWALT. Repeat after me, "there are no unicorns"

Friend 1: I started him explicitly with the Way of the Superior Man when he was knee deep in a marriage with an overly dramatic, personality disordered trust fund heiress (I discovered this book long before RP when I was dating my future BPD wife). During his divorce, ramped it up to the Rational Male, direct links to MRP and the sidebar. He's eyes wide open now, with a better woman and in a better relationship and we talk RP regularly. I'd still categorize him as Purple Pill as of today, mostly…

At the time, waking up in my marriage and realizing it was my fault that it was going awry. But, far more importantly, it was my fault that I willfully ignored Cluster B warning signs and got sucked deep into her frame, hook, line and sinker...before ever getting married.

Agreed. SMV far higher? Low sex? No kids? Wife has hit the wall? Next. Improve yourself. An upgraded, younger woman will naturally follow...

Agreed, anger is very often the best fuel to create self improvement. Eventually, once you've truly internalized the sidebar (i.e., the Red Pill paradigm), you get to a place beyond the anger. And it's liberating.

I bought a dB9PRO Best Spy USB Voice Recorder to record the rages of my uBPD wife. At the very least, it kept me sane when she'd try to gaslight later. At it's best it could save your butt if she ever hurls accusations with the law your way. The thing can sit in your pocket and still pick up audio like a champ.

It's tempting to re-calibrate too far in the opposite direction. Don't become an asshole. Don't become a stoic mute. Don't withdraw all comfort. Don't become autistic.

Yet you can't answer it until your shit is tight and solid. This. For myself, I never did get to complete my RP journey while married to my BPD wife. As you take your journey, she will choose to either join you or not. And when you do get your shit tight, and more importantly, when you establish a consistent record of having your shit tight, if your wife has still chosen to not join you or continues to add no value, that's as good a check point as any to determine whether or not to next your wif…

Pretty much. After the 20th time or so she threw out the divorce threat in a rage, I said "go ahead". We separated, and after visiting her soon thereafter (I had her leave the house) and being subjected to another name calling episode, I told her it was time to file. A few months later she asked me "why did you let me do it?". I told her flatly that I decided to no longer let her use the threat of divorce as a weapon. I was still on my red pill journey at the time, wanted to let it play out and …

I'd like to know the community's answer here as well. I took the chachaChad approach and the shit tests escalated to a nuclear level...the active rebellion and stuff that came out my wife's mouth over this time actually made me disgusted with her. I literally had no desire to game or fuck her at this point. Of course, I'm pretty sure my wife had BPD so perhaps in these circumstances IDGAF and nexting is the best you can hope for.

My ex-wife's dog was a nightmare. I trained that dog hard and set some firm boundaries - the dog couldn't have been happier. The dog's behavior when I was around was night and day better than when just my wife was around. In my experience, misbehaving dogs long for boundaries to be set, they are literally grateful for them. More often than not, "bad" dogs are usually much more receptive to males as the alpha and can "reform" immensely with proper training. Do NOT give up on that dog. Be the alph…

If she stuck with you throughout multiple years of hardship, you've got a better wife than most. Remember that.

A similar situation triggered the final death blow to my marriage. In my case, it was a 3rd dog that was supposed to be fostered for just a few weeks to save it from the death chamber. Ultimately, the circumstances shouldn't matter. If you don't want an animal in the house, do NOT let it in, EVER. As others have mentioned, your wife WILL backtrack from the original promises made, guaranteed. Honor and integrity give way to solipsism and emotions, every time, you can count on it. In my case, a sh…

Agreed, we do have "a lot" of control over the direction of the marriage. I think it's also important to recognize that, in some cases, things are beyond our control. For example, when your wife has borderline personality disorder (BPD). My marriage tanked in just one year. My high functioning ex-wife has BPD and when I finally took the pill AFTER getting married and started erecting reasonable boundaries things went nuclear fast. Taking the pill most likely didn't change the ultimate outcome of…

My wife has a PhD, is published in major journals and is continuing to publish. For this reason, I supported her applying a hyphenated name. To be clear, if she didn't append my last name at all, that would have been a showstopper.

As a recently married man, I can pretty much verify that this post is 100% accurate. I'm having a tough go of it as I recently moved out of a metro areay with huge earning potential (my last gig was paying $1k per day) into a smaller town as I work on a new start up. The 75% cut in my income is taking its toll on the relationship but all I can do is keep marching on...to eventual success. Mind you, my wife makes six figures so household income isn't the problem...but the power dynamic is current…
