Keep this in mind about big cities when it comes to the competition- Most young people are either spending every penny they make to keep up with the lifestyle, putting themselves into huge debt, or living off mommy and daddy still. Don’t ruin your finances. Otherwise, do it now because you probably can’t later.

Yeah I’m not a fan of Nashville. It will eventually be to TN what Austin is to TX. It’s also too touristy and the nightlife is one dimensional. I recommend Knoxville because the metro population is about 800k plus a student population of 25-30k which in my opinion is not too small but is not over crowded, you are young enough to still be smashing college girls and UT has some mighty fine ones, good weather, most of the state has been fine with the COVID stuff, and the cost of living is great. Ah, the socialist mindset that everyone that has more than them is evil and an oppressor. Surround yourself with people that are more successful than you. It will keep you on your toes and you will never let yourself get complacent. You also know who your true friends are, so obviously keep them around as well unless they start to get weird.

The goal is to get a good grade on the project. Be cooperative and take time to listen to their inputs. Be confident in your ideas, give some rationale, then make a group decision. This is good practice for you man because you will have female coworkers and maybe a female boss one day (depending on your field this may be more of a certainty than other fields), and this is something you need to learn to navigate more carefully than in your personal life.

Can you and your mom get the fuck out of California together? What else is keeping you guys there other than each other? Dude I get it, Cali is awesome and one of my favorite places to visit, but that place fucking ruins the average dude's ability to prosper. I would look for jobs in your field in a more affordable area of the country where you and your mom can be close, and still have your own place.
