To be fair, at least for the first accuser to confess that she lied (leighton), r/politics didn't have any articles on her original accusation and they did not support her because it wasn't credible. Trumps tweet on her confession made it look like he was talking about Ford, which he wasn't. Multiple people on T_D decided that this was a good strategy because Ford would be seen as a fraud. My personal opinion: I'm generally more on the side of r/politics, but I think the Kavanaugh discussion was…

I think there is some miscommunication here. I'm not saying that this sub needs work. The sub is great. The people on this sub are not missing out, because if it's not on this sub they will find it because of their active attitude. The people who are missing out are the men and women who are in a relationship or are looking for a relationship but have problems with love, dating, relationships and/or sex. They often look at cosmopolitan or yourtango.com. Stuff like that. These sites don't give an…

Well it's also information on dating and relationships and that's what seduction is mostly about. It's true that the information is readily available. However, looking at /r/seduction, the sub has a tendency to provide information for the goal of seducing greater numbers of women to sleep with men (simply put). The same information could (slightly altered) be used for people like myself who are merely looking to find one partner and keep them happy. My problem is that this subs goal does not ali…

I think it does offer some usable information. It tells you to just fucking do it. Dry information isn't everything. This is the push that some people need.

"are you into buttstuff?" That's invasive. Questions about hopes, dreams and fun memories aren't invasive on a date.

True, my government has that fully under control. Makes finding girls this way a lot harder, though.

My problem with train stations is that people are trying to get from one place to the other in time. It's certainly not impossible to meet women, but the best ones always seem to be in a hurry...

"Honey, I have to confess something to you. I didn't really go to church to pray, I went to church to meet with girls. So now that we're in a serious relationship I'd like to stop. If you need me, I'll be at larry's watching the game."

No idea if you're from the US, but this seems to be a bigger thing there. I live in the Netherlands and people my age (students 18-25) just don't do that. I've done volunteering but you'll either work with people who have committed a felony or people who have extremely low level education and can't do anything else. Neither of those are doing it for me.

There's a joke in here about "hands" and "guys". I'll let the general public figure out what that joke is.

I assume you're not into the pick-up thing. That's what most of this sub is about, so people might react a bit differently than they'd do on /r/socialskills You're already going to be in a situation where you're going to interact with her. There's no doubt about that. So the actual "approach" is already done, basically. Just say hi, introduce yourself if you haven't already and chat like you'd normally do. Now some people on this sub might go into pick-up mode and try to get her home with you, b…

You're on a reddit sub about interacting with women. 90% of people here are bad with women.

But because of my experience being around people who are autistic, their measure of concern for breaking the social barriers are apparent. All the people you know that are obviously Aspies, act in a way that stands out, making it obvious that they're Aspies. What I mean to say is that you have a certain view of people because you are only focussed on the stereotype. This is not wrong of you, everyone makes this mistake somewhere in their life. I have Asperger syndrome, but unless I tell people t…

Yeah, this is what I do most of the time. I read articles, look at Ted talks, etc. I've already learned a lot, but an actually good subreddit would be a nice addition.

Yes, that would be the general idea. I'd start the sub myself if I had the information and time. /r/socialskills already has a sistersub for body language, but I believe it flopped. If /r/seduction would make one of your suggestions possible, it'd might work...

Yeah, I think that if I could remember everything useful on here and remember it while socializing, I'd be great at it. At the moment I'm taking it one step at a time. Everything I can remember goes well and I'm better at it than the average person, but most of the time I forget a few things. It just doesn't come naturally (yet)! I do use a great deal of things in regular interaction, but sometimes I think it could be explained better towards that goal. For example, I can interact better with wo…

You and me both. The escalation ladder is the single best thing I've found on this sub. I'm on /r/socialskills too, but it's not the same. This sub has a better sense of rules. /r/socialskills only has questions, sadly. It would be great if there was a sub similar to this one, but then for regular interaction and social life.

The escalation ladder works amazing for me (aspie). Really the only reason why I'm on this sub is to learn about the "rules" of seduction. Good on you for working on yourself in this manner. Keep on working!

Hitting on and politely asking is something very different in my book. Why would I get mad that a guy finds my girl attractive? She is attractive and I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that way. It would be another story if he'd stick around after I've told him that we're together.

"get the fuck out of here before I smash your face in." This sounds insecure and if I were that girl, I'd still give my number. If your partner gets mad at someone for politely asking if you're single, your partner is a dick.

You want to be able to add weight to your reps, in order to keep it difficult. Once you can do ten push-ups, you will need to do more reps (I could do a hundred push ups, didn't do much). Sure you can do some variations to make it more difficult, but there's only so much you can do. With bench press, you can add weight and therefore grow in your exercise. There are some variations of the bench press, which make it possible to hit your muscles in a different way, but you don't even need these var…

It's no science of course. A cold shower is scary at first, because you don't want that initial cold feeling, but after you've done it you feel great. Walking up to people is the same thing. You don't want to at first, but after you've done it you feel good about it. Cold showers make you realize that you should take the leap.

Your showers are cold, for two months. It'll make you less hesitant.

I don't go to this sub for the pickup. It's not my thing. But I do come here to get a lot of information about general communication and such. It's way more organized and structured than all subs that are meant for general communication.

I know some people even give a nod or a thumbs-up to the guy, just to tell him he did a great job. It's a nice gesture.

No not a lost cause at all! It works a bit differently than in the street or in a club, but it's certainly possible. I'm no expert on it tough. I think your approach should not be too aggressive. Get eye contact, a smile and then ask her if it's okay to sit next to her maybe. But I think advise on what to do exactly should be left to other sedditors :P

But it does give you status. You want to be the one being asked "where's the party at?" and not the one asking.

I'm an aspie too. It's places like this where I get my information on all communication. A couple or rules I have: Don't talk about yourself too much. Ask questions about her. Try follow-up questions (did you like that?), open questions (what did you like about it?) and empathize on feelings (liking). Also try changing a question in an assumption (you look like you like video games). Talk about positive things, avoid anything negative (I'm a real pessimist). She must connect you with feelings of…

If you are going to her birthday party you should. Something small. Coming to a party empty-handed just comes off cheap. If no party, no.

So maybe you're friendzoned, maybe you're not. As long as they don't think you're gay, you're fine(ish). Just bring up the idea of truth or dare, then just up the tension a bit and see what happens. To answer your second question. It doesn't matter if it's the first night or not, imo. They're your friends, so if it's going to be awkward afterwards, it going to be just that anyway. If not the second night, it'll happen the next time you see them.

Introduce yourself properly (eye contact, name, handshake, smile). Listening is just as good, if not better than, talking here imo. As long as you show that you are interested and not shy. Asking about something someone has recently done (sort of "how was your day" kinda stuff) makes people see you as a friend more easily. Try to really connect with at least one or two friends, as a whole group might be too much. If possible and appropriate, hug the girl-friends on your way out. This makes your …
