I think that's normal. It's less of a genuine smile, and more of a "I acknowledge your existence and could not be bothered to nod my head or say hello so instead I am giving you a half smile" kind of smile.

Think of a girl smiling at you like a head nod. She's basically just acknowledging you. You don't always have to smile back, like you don't always have to nod back at a head nod. But it is polite to at least respond to acknowledge her back. Next time if you find that you can't smile, give her a wave or a wink or a nod. Anyfin.

It's fine to feel this way. TRP refers to this as "monk mode" where you realize that your self is the most important thing, and you start to ignore women because they are a distraction from improving yourself. Focus on yourself for however long it takes. By the time you become truly satisfied with yourself, you will be ready to pursue women again.

It's totally fine. It's called a direct approach and it's fine. Some notes: It's not always desirable to lead with a compliment so early. What has she even done to earn that compliment besides look pretty? Nothing, she hasn't even talked to you yet. It's good in a direct approach to express your sexual interest early, but a compliment is usually too heavy handed. I think OP has a good point. You have to be honest in your actions. If you ignore a chick's texts because you are ACTUALLY busy, it works out a lot better than when you pretend to be busy. Likewise, if you pretend to be cool and aloof when you're hanging out with a chick, meanwhile your mind is racing thinking about what you're doing and you're sweating bullets out of nervous fear, she will immediately pick up on your act.

Did you not ever learn how to conduct a conversation with another human? Not everything is a game. Just keep in mind that texts are usually just for LOGITSITCS purposes, and you should keep them as short as possible, with gaps in between to signify your busy lifestyle.
