You don't consider it as such, just as many Muslims don't consider FGM atrocious act and something normal. So pretty much nothing can be done until people like you exist. There are many practices that were widely accepted before and are deemed atrocious nowadays. Same with male circumcision. Just because it is normalized, because of certain groups preferences doesn't make it more acceptable. If I slap my kid that would be consider abuse, but cutting a part of his body is fine. Isn't everything created by God supposed to be perfect, or whatever crazy people believe?
