Patriarchy and Matriarchy exist, the traditional family structure of most (not all) cultures historically is patriarchal, you can make the argument that is changed now- but for the majority of recorded history that was not the case, so it is a tough sell to say now that is just suddenly disappeared. Pressure is not so simple as getting laughs, it is a subtle and nuanced thing that manifests in many different and insidious ways. It is much harder for a man to be out of style. Refer back to the black suit I mentioned. I could wear that exact same suit to a wedding in 1950 and be totally fine, that just is not true of most women’s fashions. 6	Why don’t men buy clothes as often as women? Societal pressure lies much heavier on women and their appearance, which generally demands to adjust to changing fashion. On top of that women’s clothing is often built so poorly it just cannot last. Most of that pressure comes from other women, but that does not change the root cause that women are more valued for their appearance than men are. 4	Is height discrimination a thing? You are saying that a man and woman of equal height do not have equal abilities to fly a plane? That seems like bs. I do agree that the standard should be the same for both but I disagree that men are inherently better at flying a plane. 1	The fact that men are fertile 100% of the time and women are fertile 2+ days out of the month and yet the burden of birth control falls to the woman is one of the greatest schemes of the patriarchy The math comes down to stopping 1 egg vs having to stop millions of sperm.
