I feel this. The message I overwhelmingly get is "MAN UP AND ACT THE WAY WE TELL YOU WITHOUT COMPLAINING!" Everything I've experienced from supposed progressives over the last three decades can be summarized with "MAN UP!". They insist it's a different type of manning-up, but the message is clear.
