| 7 | Can someone please explain why people think we’re misogynistic?Anywhere men express themselves is going to be vilified, whether justified or not. We are the current societal scapegoats. In reality this sub isn't misogynistic at all. It's just still a threat because men are expressing themselves and talking about their issues...and not from a female led perspective. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 27/10/21 04:22 PM |
| 5 | As a leftist, do you sometimes feel internalized guilt about caring about men's issues? No I don't. Used to but don't anymore. The left says it's about equality. If it is, why should I feel guilty? Anyone that shames you for caring about men's issues isn't really about equality. The rest is just brainwashing. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 21/10/21 05:35 PM |
| 28 | "Men don't value their emotions, they are emotional whores." - A lovely example of why so many men are "emotionally distant" with women. What's next? Is "sex work" going to start referring to sex within romantic relationships? This is EXACTLY what is going to happen next. Having sex with the partner you CHOSE to be with will be considered labor. Yet turn that argument around and men are SUPPOSED to have sex with their partners. It's part of the deal and you're a deadbeat abuser if you don't do that for your partner. This will happen. It's only a matter of time. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 18/10/21 07:29 PM |
| 11 | "Men don't value their emotions, they are emotional whores." - A lovely example of why so many men are "emotionally distant" with women.People don't want men to discuss their emotions because they don't care what their emotions are. The whole "express your emotions" toxic masculinity stuff has been created to keep men as the boogiemen of society. It's to keep men the scapegoat. Actions speak louder than words, and many women's ACTIONS say they don't actually want men to be open. They also know they might not like what they hear. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 18/10/21 07:23 PM |
| 1 | Looks like this is my new home.Sorry about what happened to you. Personally not an SA survivor but it's clearly something that is swept under the rug by society at large. I think the statistics are that 43% of men experience some sort of harassment or SA in their lives. And 1 in 4 men are victims of completed or attempted rape, 25%. And that's only the ones that say something. The number is probably far larger. I guess my point is that even a place like "mens lib" sweeping this under the rug and acting like it doesn't happen … | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 08/10/21 07:36 PM |

| 193 | The Justification given for r/MensLib's Ban on Legal Paternal Surrender Discussion"...because "financial abortion" is an absolute dereliction of the responsibility a man takes on when he consents to sex." Completely fair from a certain perspective, but if we count it as fair then so is "because abortion is an absolute dereliction of the responsibility a woman takes on when she consents to sex." No double standards please. Let keep the logic consistent regardless of the gender. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 24/09/21 05:32 PM |
| 4 | Have You Ever Experience Sexual Misconduct From Women?I've been groped by women I didn't really know before. | 9 | When you google "male friendships" this is what pops up.What guy, married or in a relationship, hasn't experienced his SO saying they don't like their friends, don't spend enough time with the SO, or don't want them to hang out with their friends for some reason? Women can't try and restrict men's friendships but then complain that they don't have any friends. Pick a lane. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 16/09/21 04:45 PM |
| 8 | A Generation of American Men Give Up on College: ‘I Just Feel Lost’Read this last night. Honestly, what does society think is going to happen when boys and men are demonized for being male. Combine that with the cost of college and boys being expected to learn and intake information just like girls, you have a recipe for disaster. The article says this has been getting worse over the last 40 years, about the time modern feminism took it's holds on society. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 07/09/21 07:01 PM |
| 1 | The "household chores distribution" (specifically the cleaning part) debate between men and women boils down to men and women on average having different standards for what constitutes a clean/tidy environment and what constitutes a mess/dirty environment.Second this, as a male. | 21 | Iceland (supermarket) advert exemplifies how men are casually vilified in the mediaIt's very clear when you watch the myriad of videos on the internet. There are numerous videos showing men simply yelling at women and bystanders stepping in IMMEDIATELY (not even knowing what is going on). But if men are literally being physically assaulted, everyone just walks by and says nothing. It's really disturbing, but what's more disturbing is the complete lack of any sense of shame or shock to this by society at large. People either laugh it off or say men deserve it. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 05/08/21 05:10 PM |
| 9 | Responses to "my exgirlfriend is crazy"I think the most ironic thing here is that modern feminism is trying to argue that women are fully capable and autonomous humans who should be treated as such, but then in the same breath the are basically saying that they actually aren't based on responses like "everything is a man's fault." That just says that women have NO autonomy and aren't fully capable of determining their own lives and futures. So which is it? | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 28/07/21 05:43 PM |

Their beliefs may be different but how those beliefs drive their actions, and generally, what the basics of their actions consist of are exactly the same. The left and the right are the same, which is why I don't subscribe to either side. Both are just as bad as the other. I think once you realize this it's pretty freeing. | 2 | Here is my understanding of just why misandrist feminism is so pervasive.I think it goes a bit deeper than this too. I think it goes back to base human emotions. It's partially about revenge. Anger and revenge are powerful emotions, and tools. So some of it is that. It's also about people naturally wanting someone to blame. It's easier than solving issues, for some people, and it's also useful when solving problems. A boogeyman is always useful. You avoid this by having your eyes wide open at the beginning of the relationship, setting boundaries from the BEGINNING of the relationship, and not getting into a marriage with someone that does this. MRA's biggest hurdle to getting men's issues heard is the constant attacks on men. However, it flies in the face of so many studies that show that people's biggest regret on their deathbed is that they worked so much. Like which one is it? Are we being too emotional for people? Or are we not being emotional enough? Both can't be true at the same time. So true. What's worse is that WOMEN want us to be more open with our emotions. Then when we do they drop the emotional labor bomb. So it comes to a point of asking what women really want. Generally, friends don't talk about raping or assaulting with eachother because they know if they do they'll be outcast by merit of being a horrible person, regardless of the victim's gender. So even on the off chance that a friend is one of those people, most guys will probably never know it. So to your point, what exactly are we supposed to do? The mens right's sub has some good points and good people but it's got a lot of toxic people as well. So much so that I don't frequent it very much anymore. | 2 | My post history makes me look like a misogynistThat's why I don't call myself a feminist, even though I genuinely want women to have as much equality as possible (men and women will never be truly equal in certain respects). Feminism isn't about equality for men and women anymore. It's about power and revenge and putting men down now. Plain and simple. Of course caution is prudent BUT if they aren't unconscious, they are lucid, responding, making free decisions, aren't falling all over themselves, and are agreeing to consensual activities, there is really not much more you can do. | 5 | To the people who argue this: if men feel like they are being treated unequally based on gender then they should support feminism because feminists also oppose the systemThe double standards placed upon us by feminism are a start. They are everywhere. Try and rate women based on breast size and you'll be eviscerated. However, there are numerous published articles out there about rating men by their bulge size. | 3 | To the people who argue this: if men feel like they are being treated unequally based on gender then they should support feminism because feminists also oppose the systemThe other problem is that the "patriarchy" as modern and radical feminists describe it is a fallacy. Only the powerful 1% had control. Most men were also subject to abuses and slavery etc. They just took a different form based on gender roles, biology, and evolution. So MEN as a whole were not subjugating women. The powerful were subjugating men and women. It's just many leaders happened to be men. This is why there are no boys/men only spaces anymore. They aren't acceptable to women. Also, wives generally don't let their husbands spend time with friends in many relationships. | 3 | Feminism Magazine's Feminism 101 defines toxic masculinity as: "physically strong, unsentimental, and assertive". Here's the science to prove all of those are good for you. (Seriously, even unsentimental is a net positive).I fail to see how any of these are bad things. Not being physically strong, being sentimental, and not being assertive aren't necessarily bad things either. It just appears that feminism wants to turn men into subordinates. They want men to not be able to control their own lives and to be subordinate to others. That's what this says. Terrible. Let people be who they want to be to a point. | 1 | If you are fat and there is nothing stopping you, why aren't you losing the weight? The reasoning behind why people do or do not make choices doesn't negate the fact that it is a choice. You have the choice to lose the weight or not. In the end it's as simple as that. You can overcome whatever adversity you have and CHOOSE to lose the weight, or not. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/01/20 09:56 PM |

Or they don't have the mental fortitude to do what they know they need to do, which is to stop eating so damn much. And those are the ONLY reasons. It's not actually hard to lose weight unless you have a health condition preventing you from doing so, which most people don't have. The hardest part is the mental part. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/01/20 09:50 PM |

In either situation the relationship very likely won't last. She may be above that but a lot of women end up this way if they make more than their SOs. It's biological. They recoil and think it's creepy for a guy to approach them, and that it's safer to meet people on line. This is very strange to me as I remember dating before OLD. The idea of meeting someone online at that time was creepy because you didn't actually know who you were speaking to. | 11 | I've officially stopped debating women about wheat MGTOW is.I'm personally not MGTOW but I don't have a problem with it either. In fact I understand it and appreciate it for what it is. I think the funniest thing to me though is that a man deciding to not date is almost universally met with vitriol. A woman deciding not to date is almost universally met with "you go girl" type responses. Men are only allowed to be what society needs them to be. Nothing more, nothing less. | /r/MGTOW | 25/11/19 07:13 PM |
| 1 | Men should be allowed to cryI have had the same response from my current AND ex gf. If I cried or showed sadness it was accepted. If I showed any anger or annoyance it was met with anger and annoyance from them, as if I'm not supposed to express those emotions. THIS is why men bottle up anger until it explodes. Because we can't show that emotion to the women in our lives. It's simply not acceptable. Women are the ones re-enforcing the toxic masculinity they so despise. | /r/MensRights | 25/11/19 07:09 PM |

The want to fight alongside men at war, they want to be next to men as firefighters, police officers etc with the notion that they are equal physically. That is until the fight starts, like this one. Meaning, if we don't sign up for the draft (mandatory possible death during times of war) we are in violation of the law and subject to prison time. If that happens we can never vote again. We are also given monuments if we die in service of our country. That should tell you everything about what it is like to be a man. Men being oppressed just doesn't fit with the feminist narrative, and similarly, women being oppressed doesn't fit with the more extreme and vocal MRA narrative, hence downvote oblivion. Ignoring reality doesn't make it not true though. | /r/MensRights | 22/04/19 10:27 PM |
