I have noticed that 2XC may have feminists in it, but it remains a more representative view of general female opinion without looking at things through dogma tinted glasses. That is a little harsh, if i am reading a forum for random teenage bullshit issues and all of a sudden i stumble across a graphic image or description of self harm, i have had no way to expect that or mentally prepare for it. It's an internet courtesy, like putting in a NSFW tag and hardly something to sneer at when used right. I may get mad when somebody misuses a Trigger Warning, but i certainly won't resent somebody for giving a shit about their fellow human beings.

Triggers are a real thing, but sadly the expression has been co-opted to mean, as you say "I want to silence you." Actual triggers are more common in things like discussions of self-harm, if you struggle to stop cutting yourself and then on a random internet forum you read about a graphic experience of somebody cutting themselves you may be triggered to start cutting again. So the Trigger Warnings do serve a purpose, but sadly it's so overused now it's almost meaningless.

Well if she is sanctioned under the Mental Health Act (very rare) she won't go to prison, but she will stay in secure mental facilities until it's decided she is no longer a danger to the public. I don't want that kind of support, it's clumping men's rights in with things like this, as well as thinly veiled racism, and sensationalist hate/fear-mongering. I hate seeing Daily Mail posts in this sub because a)it detracts from the legitimacy of the need for men's rights for the aforementioned reasons. and b) it generates advertising revenue for a rag that makes my country a worse place by perpetuating hatred and fear.

That's from a study done on an US Air Force personnel by the government, it's sample pool is not representative of the general population and it's ethics are dubious at best. Note: That is not to say that false accusations don't happen (they clearly do), but i would not use this statistic as it very flawed.

You want to read the work of John Archer doctor of psychology who specializes in aggression. His work shows that both men and women are equally as aggressive and his early work a meta-analysis (over 200 studies reviewed) showed that as women are more likely to instigate violence, especially against children.

I'd recommend /r/TwoXChromosomes, it's women talking about women's lives and problems and occasionally Feminism is mentioned, and/or a feminist pipes up. It's not nearly as politically/ideologically charged and feels much less hostile then /r/Feminism.

/r/Feminism banned me because i got upvoted by you guys here. They assumed (wrongly) that i participated in a raid, despite my comments being hours older then the post on /r/Mensrights pointing them to the thread. What i really think i was banned for, was arguing that it's wrong to lump the innocent men in with the guilty when discussing rape.... the irony of being lumped in with the guilty and banned did not escape me. So no... i would not consider it a good subreddit for open discussion.

It means a man who identifies as a man. "I feel I am a man on the inside as well as being one on the outside." As a pose to being a "man trapped in a woman’s body" or vice-versa (Who would be transgender.) I dislike the terms because it implies that sexuality has absolutes when really?
