The family court problem (as well as violent crime sentencing disparity) is a direct symptom of the societal expectation/view that men are strong, bread-winning, and independent while women of submissive, pitiable, and deserving of more leeway. Hell, this whole sub is based on the subversion of that expectation. The vast majority of feminists that point at the patriarchy would agree that those disparities exist.

??? Trickle-down economics is some hypothetical way of enrichening one group of people and hoping in eventually enrich another group. This is a direct link to helping men. Hell, it would likely hurt women's outcomes in court. What I brought up is probably the single biggest issue Men Right Activist's have with the court system. Men are perceived as gnarly, violent people and women are the "nice caretakers".

Do you think that breaking down the idea that women are harmless and less threatening while men are violent and menacing would help bring those numbers in line with each other?

Viruses don't live long outside a host, but in a glob of mucus or spit, it can certainly last long enough on a handle to transfer to someone else. Increasing this time by even a small amount could result in a substantial increase in infections.

Republican party line, yeah, got it. We as a society have already decided that parents can surrender their children to the government though, so the idea that parents must expected to unconditionally care for their children isn't consistently applied.

So, before I sleep with someone next time, I should talk about how empowered women are and how I'll support her and her future child if I impregnate her? Seems like poor pillow talk.

It's a lyric from Bloodhound Gang's "The Inevitable Return Of The Great White Dope" They're pretty good at euphemisms.

I completely agree. Men don't don't want to admit their faults, as that's not perceived as masculine. Sidenote: As your first long comment in English, this was excellent. Though a few grammar points were off, I understood you perfectly.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
