Well just imagine it exists, you would probably see why some might feel bad about dying loving a person who would then die loving someone else.

Doesn't the idea that he would eventually have another person as the great love of his life and not you, that he would be buried next to that person(and not you) , and actually have a life with that person(and not you) after you gave your life for him not bother you? Because if he indeed does find someone you will be forgotten eventually, not entirely of course but he will have someone else as the main woman of his life, someone who probably won't even do what you did for him. Dont you think it's possible to be happy and also single? As in, living a good happy life while single but also being faithful to the memories of your ex who sacrificed their lives for you? Why are the only options according to you "sad" or "new relationship"?

The thing I don't get is why does everybody associate not moving on ROMANTICALLY with "not living"? Do you believe everyone who chooses to remain loyal to the memories of their deceased spouses are stopping to live?

But in order to fall in love with someone else id imagine you'd have to end the romantic relationship with the one who passed, in your head, right? As in, you are supposed to stop seeing them in a romantic manner in order to truly fall in love with someone else, or do you believe it's possible to be romantically in love with two people? If not, does the idea that he would replace you as the romantic figure in his life after you gave your life for him not make you feel like shit?

You're talking like a life without a romantic relationship is "becoming a shade", tf? Is it really impossible to live a fulfilling life while also staying faithful to the memories of the man/woman who sacrificed his/her life for you? How would you actually move on from that person and love someone else? Like anything after that would seem like a downgrade.
