I don't strictly suggest you to lie, just a playful deflection of their statement would work fine. If they still persist on getting an answer out of you, then there might be something more to their intention. Either they're interested in you (congratulations) or they are looking for drama, which is another hint that they're somewhat toxic and a simple lie to get them off your back won't be as damaging as you might think.
