You generalise a lot, but I get it. I have met these kind of guys as well. Their behaviour is mostly due to really low self esteem.

So it's just about sex, nice.

I've been there, I've cried a lot, I admit it. But somehow I came out of it. How? I stopped living for others. It's not useless. Only if you don't understand it.

Good for you! I'm sure you'll find your happy ending being a dick ;)

Yes, it's true. But I admit it's hard to believe for someone like you. As long as you can blame women for going only after Chads, you have an excuse for acting like a jerk. Because it's not you, it's them, right? Maybe you should focus on your negative vibes or you'll stay forever alone.

I don't want to assume that you are desperate. I hope you are not. I really do understand you, since I have the same problem. I want to have an SO, I'm not good at being alone, but it is so hard these days to find anyone decent. Most people I met in the last year just wanted to be fwb, and I'm done with that. So I just embrace myself and try to be happy on my own. I think the only thing I can tell you here is to not give up. Either you find someone, or not. But if you give up and become bitter, …

You are right, thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I always try to sound as warm-hearted as possible, but I guess sometimes people don't want advice, but just an internet hug and feel comforted.

I don't try to invalidate his experiences. I know he is having a hard time. And I'm not telling him to just be more confident or just hit the gym more often, but to embrace himself. That is the best advice I got when I struggled with everything and it worked. And I know it's not easy. That kind of mindshift doesn't just fall from the sky, but it's worth putting the effort in. I'm just offering another way out of his difficulties, that's all.

Nope, I just realised it myself a while ago. I don't do the stuff I do to impress anyone anymore. I just do it for myself and I'm quite happy with it. And I have never been into Chads or overly tall guys, so no, my personality detector doesn't malfunction.

I think the issue is that you are putting all that effort in for someone else. If you want to improve you should do it for yourself. If you do it for someone else you will always seem desperate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
