Not a huge fan of Crowder. Although I do agree with him in this scenario, his whole "change my mind" format is pretty much a way to lure people in to "make them look stupid". He controls the dialogue spoken with the microphone and pretty much talks over the person the entire time. Why ask someone to "change your mind" if you do most of the talking anyway. This way of luring people in isn't something I can respect as it's essentially setting up any opposing view for failure.

And tbh this even completely specific to that teacher. I'm in an academic program which has mostly girls (for example bio class has 22 girls and 4 guys). Even though it's a public school shit like this happens since we are the minority. There's always this subtle condescending undertone to directed to all males. (I could rant for hours on how guys in high school aren't motivated enough for these academic programs)

I'm surprised you're even considering not saying it. As much as I'm sure you've heard this already you essentially betrayed him. You have to come to terms with the fact that every day you wake up and you are still a couple after that is extremely lucky. Like extremely lucky. To be quite honest it's just an answer you have in your heart (as cheesy as it sounds). No body on this subject except you is more entitled to answer this question. The first crucial recruitment in a relationship is whether you feel a genuine connection to this man. So ask yourself that. If you do, great, follow that and worry about circumstances after the fact.

Do NOT and I repeat do NOT do an ultimatum. If you don't have the balls to propose yourself don't force it out of him if he doesn't feel comfortable to. It'll just probably overcomplicate it and makes problems down the road. Marriage is supposed to be a beautiful, reciprocating agreement. Don't ruin its meaning by having him commit before he is ready or willing. If you want to propose, go ahead, but forcing a proposal with complete disregard to his feelings would be a disservice to the relations…

Kind of concerning how quickly you were to degrade his intelligence. Of course some people are not as book smart as others but right off the bat placing you on this pedestal of being super intelligent isn't really a good sign.
