Hypergamy and "level" determiningI have been explaining this for a while now. Do a quick google of "gender equality (insert your country) and see what pops up. | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 03:44 PM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningMy partner is very much aware of what I am doing and what I am not doing. I'm not a slut. Also, ever heard of gender inequality? You might want to google and update your statistics. | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 03:32 PM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningYou're very right. I somehow assumed ASKtrp would contain the possibility to discuss things freely. Although my main interest is in men thinking this way, not women. Dividing the two genders and stating in the sidebar that "men shouldn't enter trpw" in this matter seems to make the channels a bit one sided. | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 12:52 PM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningI'm not in a search for something better. I wasn't told I was a beautiful creature and that I deserve the world. I was taught we should be equal and find our own way of living. I don't get the concept of hypergamy, I see it as normal human nature to be able to feel things for multiple partners. Thus believing in open relationships. My "ideal man" was number 3 when I jokingly did the smv test. I also don't have an ideal man, I believe that everyone has their own qualities and I can find differenr… | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 12:50 PM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningI don't know where you read that I let the emotion get the better of me, but feel free to ignore me for that. Saying the world hasn't learned anything new in 150 years was mainly towards neuro science. Not about everything in the world. I thought this was clear especially with me encouraging you to update your knowledge about it. Negative comes from the way the article talks about women. How we are just teenagers that need men's guidance. I'm also not attacking anything in my post for what I can… | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 12:44 PM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningSo you're actually linking me to a post about women that has sources from the year 1850 and 1890. Thus stating the world hasn't learned anything new in over 150 years? And I'm the tool? You do understand that I'm having a hard time taking the rest of your post seriously from this on. I'm also having a hard time taking Tomassi's blog text seriously without much other research than his own views. (Women actually mature up to 30 years, not 18. And men up to 40. You might want to update your neurosc… | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 10:51 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningBut then again, an open relationship or polyamory is a much more realistic way of living than pure monogamy. I don't think marriage is in anybody's best interest. This is a bit off topic though. One thought that rose from this from my desk drawer - why is a woman "blamed" for hypergamy for having crushes or secondary partners and men should/are allowed to strive for this? Shouldn't the society question the whole traditional relationship equally for men and women? Again disclaimer, I'm getting in… | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 09:35 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningThank you for a detailed answer. Although my "female nature" is very capable of making decisions and don't want somebody to take responsibility for any of my actions. I am not a child that needs guidance and guarding. Thanks for the concern though... My question rises from reading the community posts about relationships failing due to hypergamy and wondering if there is an "easy answer" or theory about this on what should make it work. The posts usually are of women that realise they are unhappy… | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 09:12 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningu/Bruchibre I think my biggest questionmark is people asking for advice on a relationship where the woman is stated to experience hypergamy and if there is a way to avoid such situations alltogether. Plus what determines if the situation is indeed hypergamy or just a poor relationship. Thus the theoretical thoughts about the levels. | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 08:20 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningWell guessed | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 08:16 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningToo bad I hate ice cream. | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 08:11 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningI can understand where you are coming from. The point I am trying to make is that there being all these smv tests, is that what states the level for people in general, or their own ranking style. A simplified example being that a woman is more drawn to men with narrow shoulders, but the charts give a man with broad shoulders a bigger value. I'm not really formulating myself well today. A lot of traveling and poorly slept nights behind. | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 08:10 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningThis makes sense and opens it up with a bit of a different view. The idea I get from a lot of posts in TRPW is about the relationship losing value because of the man, not because of the branch swing. But this is more relatable in a way. Also, rereading your post doesn't give this conversation anything new. I could also ask you to re-read my post and answer all the points in it I make. Also, as I stated before, I very well understand it is not a quantifiable number. I also state in my last commen… | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 08:06 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningNo, I'm here because I have been reading TRP and TRPW for some time and these are some of the concepts that rise up from the comments and conversations that I can't really grasp and understand. They are hard to define, I understand that, but since a lot of people seem to be asking help for these problems, I'm wondering if there is some kind of theory or way people determine these things. I am stating the offensive part because I find it difficult to formulate this question without sounding like … | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 07:55 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningThis is the image I get from reading TRP and TRPW with both men and women complaining about failing relationships due to hypergamy. I understand it changes over time, but you're not really answering to my question about how to define if a relationship is going to fail from the beginning. But in your opinion the woman should be the settler and marry just any guy that ticks some boxes even though the relationship is going to fail because she can't be happy in it? My problem is not understanding it… | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 07:47 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningI feel this goes against the concept of hypergamy though. If I can't be happy without a man higher than the rank I've been with before, why settle for a relationship that just can not work? Isn't it unfair for the man too? | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 07:23 AM
Hypergamy and "level" determiningBut how will I actually know if the man I start dating ranks lower or higher if they're about on the same level? Like let's say 7,5 and 8,5. Or that the other one is let's say slightly older and shorter but better bodied and the other younger with good social skills, but fatter. They can have similar points, but how to know who wins in the end. I read a lot of stories about failed relationships due to "accidentally" marrying a man of a lower svm than previous partners. Is there anything that rea… | /r/askTRP | 20/07/18 07:06 AM
