Cold approaches often don't work, and are seen as inappropriate, because they're based on appearance. If a guy comes up to me and attempts to have a conversation like I'm a human being, with no sense that he has an ulterior motive, I might entertain it (if I'm in a people mood, which is not often). If he seems like he's trying to fuck, it's always a no/why are you talking to me/leave me alone from me. Years of harassment = no tolerance policy for creeps (you can thank other men for this while is…

You do see the social media filled with crying, complaining and whining old women and single mothers right? You don't even have to go too far for that. Yes, there are a lot of women complaining about men who can't or won't take care of their own children. You'd probably just blame that on them, though, right? It's women's fault men are shitty? lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/23 03:25 AM

Totally agree. It's unwarranted. It's just 'I don't trust women' under the guise of 'BuT PaTeRnItY fRaUd HaPpEnS'.

Curious which research led you to this conclusion? In my experience, men want monogamous commitment more than women do, and research says that women are actually more pre-disposed to wanting sexual variety than men are.

Of course, I'm not saying cheating doesn't happen. I'm saying asking, say, your wife whom you're in a monogamous relationship with, who has displayed no signs of cheating, just out of the blue for a paternity test is insane. It also essentially points to YOU not trusting your own judgement in choosing a faithful and morally upstanding partner (which is what ya'll's whole sub is pretty much dedicated to): if you hate sluts and think all women are sluts, of course you'd ask your wife for a paterni…

Ha ha! Wow. Sure, but logic says that not thinking a kid is yours means you think she COULD have cheated, no? Unless you believe in immaculate conception, I guess. The only other option is you don't believe she's being faithful. See how that might be offensive if someone's not cheating?

The "asking for a test is accusation of cheating" is insanely self centered. Men want paternity tests because they are afraid of raising somebody else's kid, which is something that happens and is a rational fear. It's not to prove that their partner is cheating. This is the stupidest attempt to prove a point I've ever read. You contradicted yourself, throughout. If you're afraid of raising someone else's kid, you think there's a possibility your partner might have cheated, as you said above.

How do you know who approaches who?

It's not women's job to tell men how to be better people. If you're sitting around waiting for a random lady to tell you what you're doing wrong, you'll be waiting forever. You should probably figure out how to find emerald yourself, bro. Blaming women for you not being able to find a date is actually men not wanting to have success, themselves.

Gee, maybe finding a partner has something to do with personality.

That's not the point of those pages. If men had a private facebook page to report women who raped, assaulted, or abused them - I mean, please do. They're there for safety. It's a shame that's needed for any gender.

Thought: how about you encourage horrible men to stop assaulting, abusing, and harassing women instead of warning them there is a safe space for women to tell the truth about what's happening to them on dates?

I think it's more because women don't want to carry the extra load of having to take care of a thankless man. Most men have been taught that their partner will take care of them. More women are working now than ever before, already taking care of households. Also, kids if they have or want them. Adding a partner who helps in no way feels like carrying a dead weight around, so why bother? I'd rather take care of one less person. Not to say this is all men, I have an awesome partner who takes care…

That makes no sense. It says 'Why women think their Degree/Money/Career of their own is important', what does 'their own' have to do with men?

So....to sum it up, you think women's personal decisions only revolve around men or what men think of them?

Actually, I think if women are attracted to assholes in the first place, at the root of it there's some childhood trauma that could be from having most likely a father figure that is an asshole?? Or a dysfunctional relationship between parents? We all look subconsciously look for what we know, until you heal that...it's those assholes for a lot of women, unfortunately.

Just saying, maybe to help form opinions that aren't bitter, yourself, talk to some real women in the world. I don't know a single one who's jealous of a younger woman, as the tabloids/caricatures of women would have you believe.

Oh, sorry. Are you an older woman? I'm just not sure how you formed this opinion.

The whole notion of "power dynamics" and "manipulative partner" is mainly coming from women that are past their peak of attractiveness. This is an odd opinion with nothing to back it up. In fact, I would argue that most women who can see toxic age gap relationships for what they are have experienced a bad one, and are more than hot enough to attract the older man in the first place.

Conservative women have both lower standards and higher long-term quality: so perhaps men should pursue them more. Wow. So, you just wrote an essay on what you think is 'wrong with women', instead of encouraging men to be better partners and people, so y'all don't have to do any work and can find a woman who will settle for you!? This doesn't make 'good' relationships any time, but especially not when women actually have a say. Not to mention how hypocritical it is for you to be liberal, while s…

Saying people are staying because you don't think they have options is judgemental. You're making an assumption that people who are abused in relationships 'can't find any better'. Most people who are actively being abused aren't swiping on Tinder and meeting up with people. Some people who did that while in an abusive relationship would probably be injured or killed in a jealous rage. Either way, probably best not to make theories about abuse victims without educating yourself. Any basic litera…

Wow. No. This is intense victim blaming, please educate yourself. And why are you even judging women who have been through or are being abused?? Those men aren't in their league, they're below it. That's why they manipulate and control, and typically make awesome, compassionate, empathetic women feel horrible about themselves so they feel they're not good enough for anyone and stay with these assholes. It's like being a frog in a pot of boiling water: emotional abuse is often doled out in small,…

Yep. Parent narcs and relationship narcs operate differently enough, plus they're all hard to spot right away. Been there. Hugs, it sucks. Now you know, though!

This!! A million times, this. Girl, it doesn't matter what exact words he's saying - his actions are manipulative and therefore abusive. It sounds like he spoiled / love-bombed you for the first few months and then slowly started to control you. If he knows your history, he knows you're easier prey. With the age gap you have, odds are no woman his age would fall for this shit and he knows it. He's gaslighting you (making you question yourself when you bring up things you see happening by telling…

The only way you cultivate a real relationship is WITH time. Yeah, I agree with that. But not for ALL TIME. That's all I'm saying. For example, 3-5 years is long-term for me. Not really sure if I want anything longer than that, anymore, imho. Unless it's still working for me and my partner in all the ways, at that point. I'll never be looking for one partner for the rest of my life, but the alternative to that isn't just strangers - there are many timelines that could be considered long-term in …

You can want something long term and not want marriage or something that lasts 'forever'. For me, longevity is no longer the marker of a good relationship, so I would definitely say something like that on my profile if I was looking. I feel jaded saying this, but I don't think it's realistic or good for people to be in a relationship 'for life'. So if I was saying I want something long term, I mean I want a deep, connected, intimate relationship that is great and working for both of us, until it…

Not to generalize, but I think most dudes - definitely LVM - would rather be coddled than not lazy. Dude, I worked full time while I was in University and got honors. No patience for this poor excuse for stunted growth.
