Spaces reserved for girls and women are that way for protection and as a way to put money and other resources towards underserved communities. Not so for spaces reserved for boys and men. Those have historically served as a way to exclude women (and other minority groups) to their detriment. For example, the Boy Scouts changed to the Scouts for a multitude of reasons and I bet you're overestimating the intent to include girls just for inclusion's sake. The co-ed nature of the organization is mor…

But doesn’t have downvotes so it’s not unpopular, which is what I said. And blames women for “expecting” their partners to give up their relationships. Don’t think I didn’t notice that you didn’t mention the third example lol. I took the fourth as someone believing in hypergamy and saying that women expecting these resources from men is “draining them”. Do you think I misinterpreted? Please also explain how my comment put women “on a pedestal.”

Sure, I agree. The point is this guy was saying that no one was blaming women after I’d provided direct examples from this comment section so I quoted them. He also accused me of being disappointed but the comments here because I “put women on a pedestal” but didn’t answer where in my comment I was doing that.

From below: Turns out, Esther Vilar was right all along The male loneliness epidemic absolutely has a lot to do with dating. Wtf are you on about I've known too many men who were expected to give up their social circle when they got into a relationship and join hers. You’re trying to dismiss the role women play in all of this, but I’d argue that women are one of the core causes of it. Why do you think male third spaces don’t exist? It’s partly because women don’t want them to exist. Imagine if a…

You don’t think blaming women for men’s loneliness is misogyny? You don’t think it’s hateful to claim, without any evidence mind you, that all women polled are lying about being lonely because they want to be victims or that the lack of third spaces is women’s fault because they’ve run men out of them? And that’s just two examples! Can you also explain how anything in my comment “put women on a pedestal”? Everything I said I applied to both men and women.

I think a lot of men complaining about the so-called "male loneliness epidemic" are blaming women for it. There are people in these comments arguing that the epidemic isn't cause by the loss of third spaces as much as it's caused by women "running men out of" those third spaces. As if third spaces haven't disappeared for women as much as anyone. Other than that, I've also seen a lot of men blaming "hypergamy" and women having "unrealistic" standards are to blame for they themselves being lonely.…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
