I have problems with the last 2 examples the article gave. This theory is taught as if it were scientific fact based off extensive empirical evidence. A bit of why this is bad and how it should be presented would be very helpful. For the last last example some more information seems necessary. The original story says he never touched her, so its not 5. I'd question if he knew that she was feeling "in apprehension of immediate physical injury" but that's for the police/judge to decide. I agree the police should have just laughed.

We could have the best message in the world, but if everyone hates us then we won't do much good. On the other hand we could have the greatest image in the world but if we have no message, nothing with will get done. Its a balance. We can't let either suffer too much or the whole thing falls apart. Personally I think the message is more important, but the image needs to be kept up so that people will listen to us.

Same here I had a racist feminist atheist professor for an english class at a Christian college. I am Christian, have never had a problem with anyone of any color, and if pressed identify as anti-feminist. She didn't grade me down terribly, but if I had agreed with her BS I would have gotten an A instead of a C.

If you make too much of a fuss during or after class with the professor your grade will suffer, trust me, I'm speaking from experience. If it's a required class just get through it but drop it otherwise and talk to the dean. I agree with the person who said if it's not in writing it doesn't exist, so write it down take notes about your experiences in the class if you choose to finish. An entire semester of documented discrimination is quite a bit for someone to just blow off.

I agree about staying away from organisations that put women over men, but in my opinion its a little too far to exclude people because of one act of white knightery. I think blackrimson has it right. Educate, if that fails then exclude. I'd put exclusion from my life as a last resort action though. I can't the link anymore but a while ago there were a few posts about the ratio of female/male rape victims. The article said it was 50/50. Most surveys don't account for male rape they classify it as sexual violence and call it "made to penetrate." Using that logic, women are not raped, they are merely made to penetrate.

At my college there's a required freshman class basically English but its a discussion styled class. First semester ended up being all about feminism and second mostly about black people. Second semester I had a racist and radical feminist teacher. That's what drove me here to mensrights and difference of opinion with the teacher is why I got a C.

I actually brought this up to my mother a few days ago. I asked why it was socially acceptable to say "trash man" or "garbage man" but we could not say "trash woman" or "garbage woman." She was a little thrown off by the question and seemed to think it was calling the woman a slut. We were at a baseball game with other family when this came up so I just dropped it so as to not ruin every one's time.

Recently at SFU University they put in a women's center where women who felt in danger or had been abused/assaulted could go to be safe and receive support. No one said anything against it. Then someone suggested doing the same thing but for men. Next thing we know the internet is blowing up with outrage about it. I have no idea how it got to this point but, if you watched the longer video its starts mid-fight, once it is at that point there was nowhere else to go but put handcuffs on and take them downtown. The penalty was probably a small fine. she should have taken the ticket and paid it.

my current best friend just became my girlfriend a few months ago. We are still best friends just much closer than we were before. hey I'm still kinda new too. My mom is pretty open minded when I bring this stuff up to her. respecting my viewpoint and offering hers without being overbearing. (actually she sides with me on a lot of these issues) in contrast i recently completed a course at college and had a female professor who was an overtly combative feminist along with being slightly racist. It was not a fun class.

I see nothing wrong with marriage in and of itself, and IMO being unmarried leads to far too many children born to single mothers who then get welfare and child support because you are not married to them. which is why we have so many problems with those laws in this subreddit. So the answer is actually to learn to our first marriage better. This will in turn reduce the number of divorces and amount of child support and resolve half our issues.

She violated a court order. I admit to not knowing too much about the legal system, but i believe you can sue for custody of your child. Everyone else is right you should document everything possible. Verify that your phone is blocked and talk to a lawyer about whether you have a legitimate case. There's a chance you could win but if you do don't try to take her for every cent of child support you can. By your own post she doesn't have any money or means to get the money.
