I don't think overall looks matter as much to a woman as looks matter to a man. That being said, with the skewed market being heavily in women's favor has made they very picky. Riding the CC has raised their expectations to unrealistic levels. I think a woman from 100 years ago wouldn't mind marrying an average guy based on the men in her town.

I think a lot of men really can't relate to having a pet/partner that can kill you and still be your best friend. Isn't that what is appealing to women about horses?
