Obviously. She probably thought "well, yeah, he's on the lease, it IS his aparment" when he meant "I'm a literal toddler who has not grasped the most basic concepts of relationships and living with other people and it's either my way or I'm gonna throw a hissy fit then air out our private matters online for the entertainment of strangers because I don't know how to communicate"

I'm glad I could help someone. It's important to look for things where the poster mentions personal preference in any kind of online ad for alleged work/cooperation. From personal experience, also look out for people wanting to "meet up at their place" first. Someone looking for a voice acress/designer/artist/musician etc for their self produced game/short film/audio book does not need to meet you at their house/a restaurant for dinner. They either have a studio or they're not far enough into th…

I don't believe that many of them are frugal per se. I think they don't want to spend any money on women because they belive they have a right to us, they're more than happy to spent huge amounts on themselves, whether it's a neccessary expense or not.

Because of things like this I don't think media like fifty shades of grey did humanity any favors. It just opens a window to a connection between manipulation/power imbalance/violence and sex while closing the blinds to the question of "How far is too far?" When you don't pause and ask yourself "Am I going too far?" while leaving a comment about a nazis true love for his Jewish captive you need help. And not in a condescending way, like you need help or you'll end up being lucky if you manage to…

Jesus Christ I should have just ignored your suggestion. Not only do they defend him but NOONE talks about her side. They debate how it could be twisted into him being in love but her very obvious feelings about him get completely ignored. 2 red flags in 1 I guess. "Trying to seduce a lady probably best you don't tell her she's not a person by definition lol" has got to be one of the grossest comments tho. Trying to WHAT NOW?

I will admit that I have never seen Schindlers List but I did just take a college class on the way former east and west Germany dealt with their nazi past in film and your comment triggered a memory of the movie "Sterne" (stars) which also tried really hard to push a love story between a nazi officer and a Jewish woman in the camp. The fact that the other nazi officer made sure the woman would be brought to him because the abuse was normal was supposed to make him look good for... not raping her…

Also if that was someone I knew I'd stay far away cause the last sentence seems so threatening. He openly admits it and usually when people phrase something in the "[...] is REAL" way they think it's relatable to others. This hatred seems normal to him. I wouldn't walk. I'd run.

I will never understand the mental gymnastics one needs to perform to put both their want for a woman and their resentment for women in the same paragraph and not feel absolutely stupid about it, let alone even have any kind of realization.

On top of everything that has been said: the boy is 16. He's not gonna be comfortable watching something mommy suggested. Best case scenario he'll keep watching his stuff but get better at hiding it, worst case scenario he'll look for even worse stuff to get to the opposite of what she suggested to be rebellious or out of spite.

That's the thing. If this is a professional partnership why does he list the body type he personally prefers? Shouldn't matter. Broad appeal should matter. Yet he mentions his personal preferences for body type. Next weird thing is how he'd prefer she hasn't recorded anything previously but lists his experiences as a plus. Why wouldn't you want an experienced business partner? This whole thing reeks of submissive virgin fetish and I agree wholeheartedly that he'd flip his shit if she had other m…

Came here to ask: how horrible does my horrible date have to get before I'm allowed stop dating "for fun"? Probably just "had a bad date" and "wasn't careful enough/dressed slutty" when I get raped. Is getting murdered and dumped in a ditch an excuse to stop dating casually and start looking for Mr Right?

It's an actual psychological phenomenon that we have to be careful about. Humans develop more trust when they share than when they listen. Same category: being asked small favors and doing these favors makes it more likely that people will say yes to bigger favors in the future. Be safe everyone

Ok makes sense that you were mainly embarrassed. I wonder if I'd laugh or cringe but I definitely wouldn't be able to keep a straight face. But hey, you got a meal and a story to tell :D Exactly the kind of person the German word Fremdscham exists for. Feeling second hand embarrassment or embarrassment on their behalf because they're just unable to do it themselves.

I was actually gonna respectfully ask about #9. We all have our own experiences and relationship with intimacy so I admit that I don't get what you mean at all. If you're comfortable could you maybe explain what's wrong/what you've learned is wrong with men who turn down sex? Edit to add: the original comment you talked about "whoever commented on #9" wasn't me and I also can't see that comment so maybe I'm missing context

How can one do this without being embarrassed? I'll eat Dino nuggets on a date, sure. I draw as a hobby. I have a very cartoonish style, I often draw animals or cute character designs (of which many could be/look underage, I'm young, I tend to draw young characters) and my girl friends tell me they think my art is cute and wholesome. Having this general idea of my art the amount of guys who were "just joking" when I'm disgusted at being asked whether I draw porn is not normal. It's a hobby. I do it for my pleasure, not yours!

Used words like "naughty" or "cheeky" about himself when he made a really unfunny joke or about you, just anytime. If he uses them to describe you chances are he lied about his age and is actually 10 years older than you and sees you as a child.

They also don't want to believe that we know we're just damn fine. I wouldn't be surprised if they got mad at her saying she wants to be asked out. She knows her worth. I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts. They always say that for men the motive is usually sexual or to have power (which is also often sexual) and for women it's usually financial gain. And then they tell the actual stories and almost every single woman on there has been abused or sold or had her life threatened by the man/men she killed. Almost every single one of them. And at the end of each episode I'm supposed to be like "good thing they locked her up for life instead of getting her the h…

I've read/watched stories of a few men who used to be incels but got out. 2 things they all have in common: What got them out was trying to build a friendship with a woman and seeing her as a person and while some of them spent years in the incel mindset it took only a few weeks to get out. So the ones who don't get out don't want to. And you're right, that is extremely dangerous.

I can't second this enough. I have depression and know quite a few people who do too. All of us have our days of not showering because it seems too exhausting. But all of us agree that when you meet other people you have to call out your depression on its bs of "you don't have enough energy for a shower" and just go for it. The "worst" I've ever experienced with these people is them showing up in sweatpants and immediately going "Guys, I'm not doing well, I didn't shower today, I'm so so sorry f…

As someone with depression I'm just gonna openly admit that I sometimes don't shower for a few days and that I know what it's like to feel like it's easier to live with your own BO and feeling of being sweaty and dirty than it would be to drag yourself into the shower. HOWEVER! I only do that when I know I'm not gonna see anyone. Going to work/friends/dates like that just shows so much disrespect for the people around you.

We have very strict weapon laws. I know for a fact Pepper spray is in a legal gray area (and usually you lose if it goes to court) so I'm guessing tasers are out of the question. And the men here KNOW this. They know that women don't carry because they can't. And they abuse this knowledge.

True. Maybe my examples just come down to empathy instead of ability to learn.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/06/21 03:20 PM

But we can learn by not experiencing something but hearing a large group of people tell us about it. Even if you've never had a sunburn in your life, you probably wouldn't touch someone else's if they tell you it hurts. You probably wouldn't stop being friends with a diabetic if they tell you why they sometimes inject themselves. That's what I mean. Technically humans should be capable of not being dicks without having experienced dickery themselves.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/06/21 02:58 PM
2

This is something I sometimes wonder. Are humans really ONLY capable of treating each other right if they know from experience what being treated wrong feels like? Do men need to be yelled at/harassed before they change? This thought creeps up on me whenever I read about someone donating to a charity only AFTER they [had cancer/lost a loved one/got in an accident/etc] or whatever the charity is for. Because that's just incredibly sad. This is extremely off topic. Sorry.

The just walking away is also a really good strategy, thank you. I don't think this one would have grabbed me but I have no knowledge about drugs so I'm not confident that I could tell whether a stranger is on something. Obviously when push comes to shove I'd fight tooth and nail for my safety. I actually knew about the artery but it's something where you both hope you never have to and hope that you can go through with it if you have to.

I feel like had I just said "I know" that would have been an invitation for him to ask "Then why are you sitting here?" The stationary thing however I'll keep in mind. You sound so cool and powerful. I just spent the next few minutes shaking and looking down the street where he left with my finger hovering over my dad's contact.

I always thought the intent is to make it seem like a compliment (how could someone who is so beautiful/charming/perfect/wonderful like you not be swarmed with interested men) in hopes the woman is desperate enough to fall for the fake compliment and he can get laid. But then, that makes it a million times worse. Why would you insult someone you're trying to sell something to? Although given he ignored everything she said she wanted that question is probably unnecessary...

I think the subtext is "Since there's no other man in your life to tell you how beautiful you are you're probably desperate enough to give me a chance before you hit the wall." Which is just as bad

It's not even just the question in this case, it's the entire scenario. How absolutely inappropriate. Sure, the guy who does it at the bar/hangout with friends is also annoying but at least you're already in a casual setting and people say all kinds of dumb shit when drunk. But to say it completely sober to someone you're trying to make a client?! That shit would get every service worker fired. You don't try to get your potential paycheck into your bedroom.

I do think this is an important message and the sub should not lose focus of what it is for. I've been lurking here for a while, recently started participating in conversations in the comments. I am currently not looking to date and if I were (lucky to be queer and have these options) I'd probably go for anyone but a cigendered heterosexual man. This! "Guys would talk to a tree if it approached them first" is imo one of the saddest attempts to guilt trip women. Obviously we all know how unattractive pity parties are but how can these guys genuinely think to themselves "Yes, this is gonna make me endearing!"?? And some do it for their entire lives. How can you never wake up and realise it's not cute?!

But they don't get it. Even if you ask "How would you feel if it were a gay guy/a 60yo overweight woman with greasy hair and bad teeth?" They will still claim it's not the same. They have an unhealthy amount of confidence and refuse to believe that not every woman is attracted to them. Do they just spend their lives actively avoiding mirrors?

Also except for the ones his friends assaulted because they would never do that, and the ones famous men assaulted because the women just want attention. Also, sadly, often the ones in his own circle who tell him about it because they might just be lying for attention and it would mean he'd have to admit he didn't look out for his female friends and/or didn't help (enabled it) and also not all men (I know I sound salty but that's my experience)
