The rating system is based on pure speculation, and the whole LJBF ladder simply makes no sense at all (why is it a fucking ladder - what is the difference between the top and the bottom). The fact that people have target expectations of mates is explained much better by a multitude of factors than simply putting people on a sliding scale. I have yet to have someone explain effectively why ladder theory involves ladders. Take from that what you will.

Rather than changing your job, why not get some part time work in a bar? Additional income, and if you go to a more casual bar (weekend daytime) there are always people who like to chat to the staff. Do you prefer to try setting up the date during the initial pickup? Only if it is for later that day - e.g. time bridge. I'm usually doing it via text these days. Not a huge fan of the text game. You have to be very careful with your message to make sure you don't sound needy - keep it playful and casual. I'd try a phone call first.

The best resource - bar none - is experience interacting with people. The only personal challenge people have with pickup is overcoming issues with confidence. Everything else (fashon, lifestyle, interest) is technical and can be learned. Good luck man. Remember to treat it like a pickup if thats what you want. You approach her - and dont buy her drinks even if she catches fire. As she works there, she can get them for free anyway. And for the love of god - dont pay for dances!!! It can be confusing in a hostess bar, as its their job to send out fake IoIs. Thats why I recommend flexing your routines elsewhere until you know what to look for.

FYI, this is not pickup. This is you goiung to a girly bar and them doing what they do to every guy - socialising with you so you buy them drinks and pay for dances. They are paid for this, and are called hostesses. By all means go to these bars if you are trying to build your confidence, or if your mission is to attempt a pickup - but I don't think you understand the game at this point and would be better off trying a different scene.

My best advice to to develop your own identity. You are still young and should be discovering your own personality. By all means understand how the game works, but don't model yourself around the books you read. Basically, now you know the rules, forget all about the books and go out and enjoy your remaining teenage years.
